Good location but very disappointed by the food. Fish and chips arrived with literally half a fish, chips scattered and mushy peas slopped on the plate. I complained and was told it was a result of the batter in the fryer, which makes zero sense as it was clearly a deliberate cut. This was at least edible but my daughter's nachos were disgusting - over fried with congealed cheese on top. Seriously unimpressed on both counts.
I was pleasantly surprised when we stopped off here for a bite to eat. Extensive menu with deals on daily. Food was wholly acceptable and better than most pub chains. The Sharing platters are great value. I'd have no qualms going back here.
We had to sit outside because we had the dog with us, but it was a nice day with lots of outdoor tables to choose from.nInside looked fun and colourful, and would really appeal to kids.nThe playground outside needs some updating, and more fun stuff to keep the kids occupied and happy.nThere are also a few local seagulls who hang around waiting for you to leave before descending onto the table for your leftovers - less than ideal, but hardly avoidable considering the location.nFood was tasty, great portion sizes and excellent value for money.nWill defo be back, but will leave the dog at home so we can sit inside.
Lovely food and even better staff! Elaine was so friendly, her attention to detail didn’t go a miss. Ensuring we were comfortable and enjoying our food. Would have gave more stars for service if I could!
We ate there with 7 people. I had chicken masala with exactly 3 small pieces of meat. That was no longer a coincidence, because our friend had the same with the same 3 pieces of meat. If you look at the price, it is very overpriced. The tables were also extremely sticky. Thorough cleaning would be appropriate here. I don't get full here and don't want to come back.
