The rooms were clean and the bed and blanket was very comfy. We had a very good night rest. There were not many options for breakfast but the breakfast and service that was offered was good. Overall we had a good experience and would return if we were around again.
Lots of public transport if you do not want to drive. Views from hotel are exceptional. First room smelt funny, immediately staff swapped the room. Food at the hotel, not very good, breakfast not self service, staff said it was cooked to order, but when brought out it was lukewarm and obviously not cooked to order. Alcohol very expensive.nStaff members not often seen.
We stay here once a year to meet up with family. The rooms are comfortable and always clean. There isn't air con but a good fan is always provided.nPremier Inn has taken over the adjacent restaurant and they seem to be struggling a little with that. The poor staff are doing their best but there didn't seem to be enough of them, especially at the weekend. That wouldn't stop us staying again as the hotel is in a perfect position.nThe only niggle I did have was paying extra for a sea view room when our family member didn't pay extra for his. But again it wouldn't stop me staying as the rooms over looking the water are a lot quieter.
Those Visitors, arriving..using/drive their car, is the best ideal hotel, to choose, around.. myself, having a day Bus ticket & walk, to Gurock, use Ferry to cross, to Dunoon, with locals, is the best, fresh air. Love this area..
Rooms as expected for chain, view is stunning and a lovely walk along the promenade, just a shame the service was so shocking, we arrived early and tried to check in 3 times before giving up and heading out, finally managed to check in on our return at 9pm. Thankfully we had family also staying at the hotel so we were able to use their rooms to get ready.nBar staff Tomas shockingly rude, we arrived at the bar at 9.18pm it shuts at 9.30! We were part of a party of 9 and after ordering the first 2 people's he tried to stop me as he was closing! Finally got the rest of the order in and when I joked he did it with time to spare he moaned at me saying now he has no time to clean up as he was back at 6am.nGrounds outside the pub could be something special but tables and lights all very dated and weather damaged, glass pilled on tables from the night before as no body had time to go out and clean up we went out there at 11.40am and family had stated the glasses were theirs from the night before !!!
