PLEASE if your child has any learning disability, do not choose Tabor. They do not have the staffing levels to facilitate support for your child. This will result in your child being subjected to humiliation from staff. My son has been at the school for a year, they have taken the funding however support is very limited. There is no communication with teachers to inform them of your child’s needs. Superior staff including the head teacher find it amusing when challenged by parents and will lie to you face with absolute confidence, which I find quite disturbing. They have put my son in some very upsetting situations, with no consideration that my son suffers from mental health. They are now in the process of managing him out of the school BEWARE parents as they struggle to conduct themselves in a professional manner as we were told by the HEAD of the pastoral team to SHUT UP! misconduct springs to mind. This is the same teacher that sent extremely sensitive data home with my son to read on his way as she didn’t even have the common sense to put it in an envelope, Misconduct springs to mind this is the same teacher that will look you in the eye and lie to your face fact and we have proof. Maybe as I work in an extremely professional, high security environment my expectations are high. I am now awaiting a meeting with our MP as I want all children who are being subjected to this treatment ARE PROTECTED.
such a bad school like actually I hope it gets knocked down. litterally don't send your child here unless u hate them. they don't fix your problems and if they do they will do it weeks later they have had so many fights and so many problems .I think that the children should get at least one time where they can move next to their friends to express their ideas rather than them sit next to someone they do not talk to often. its so bad. I didnt learn anything here, and I failed my gcses. I went from being straight A student in year 7, to failing gcses in year 11. terrible school and they don't care about education, they focus on the people they think will do well rather than those who need the help.
Never ever let your child go to this school if they are thinking of going. The school rules are out of order with rules like: no make up, shirts must be tucked and other such rules. The website might make the school look idealistic but in reality do not let your child attend due to the poor teaching standards and overall feel of the school.
This school is the worst it's ever been. The rules are getting worse and worse. The main point of a school is to educate the students - this school seem to only focus on looking good. Furthermore, it appears that the teachers like to demoralise and belittle the students in a way in which makes the students feel inferior, almost as if it makes the teachers happy. The way the senior staff members treat the students is appalling. The students are stripped of their individuality as they are forbidden to express themselves through things such as makeup, hair, jewellery, etc. The students are not allowed in the building throughout break and lunch unless they have certain justifications such as; I need to see a teacher or I need lunch from the hall. If you are considering bringing your child to this prison, I highly recommend you stay away while you can.
Very disappointed with this school under loxford academy. Teachers left and supply teachers were brought in and had no control over some of the children and my child couldn't concentrate. Some homework was not taken in. My child was doing better and getting help under lilac sky. Under loxford academy the school has gone down hill. If your child is doing well they will try and improve them more. If your child is under achieving they will get very little help. I think they are doing this to tick boxes and look good for Ofsted. If I had my time again I would have moved my child to a different school. Rumour in Braintree is that Alec Hunter is the best school.
No longer part of the abysmal Lilac Sky group this school is a good school. It has served my 3 children very well and I would recommend it anyone that is looking for a senior school in the local area.
As an ex student, I congratulate the school on its amazing and dedicated staff, who were always very supportive, the headmistress, whilst terrifying, is fair. The site team are immaculate, and every year they have a magnificent remembrance assembly.
Idk why people hate this school my brother gone here and he liked it!!!
These reviews are hilarious. Were they written by disgruntled students pretending to be semi-literate adults interested in make-up and fashion? A great spoof!
