This is a very conveniently located store near the centre Braintree. It has ample free parking spaces, including disabled parking spaces and parent and child parking spaces, too. The stock is constantly revolving with fresh produce delivered frequently. The Middle of Lidl keeps you not only guessing what will come next but how much you didn't know you needed! The staff are usually friendly but sometimes a bit thin on the ground if you're requiring assistance. The bakery section provides freshly prepared goods at extremely competitive prices.
There should be a fast track line for people with small amount of items, it takes forever sometimes to do small shopping there... Also evening there is nothing left, no eggs, vegetables or fruits. Please restock more often especially eggs-all gone everytime as some people work during the day and can shop only evenings.

Feels cheaper than Sainsbury's overall , and I always find great variety of items in the middle isles , such as baby stuff , clothing , kitchenware , appliances etc. Would like to be shopping here more often. Food variety is also great.
WHY do I have to pay for a bag when I can’t even take my shopping home without it being ripped!!! While packing my shopping in a shop another bags handle ripped in my hands while I was opening it BEFORE I even put anything in it! Sort this bag issue out LIDL or DON’T ask customers to pay for it!
I'm generally a fan of lidls but as of the last few months Lidl Braintree really seems to be struggling. Often many of the fresh vegetables are out of stock and empty boxes outweigh actual produce. There are empty boxes everywhere - left on shelves, the floor and in the middle of the aisles. Loose cardboard is a slip hazard. Mouldy fruit on display is a normal sight. Another complain I have is the blue baskets are stacked far too high sometimes around 6ft tall. I've seen them fall over and if there was a young child next to one of these trolley stacks it would cause serious injury. It's getting to the point of the uncleanliness and poor initiative is causing health and safety hazards
First visit. Good selection of baked goods and amazing low wine prices. Recommended.
One of the best supermarkets in Braintree. Nice to get somewhere that isn’t Tesco!
Always nice staff. Good for fruit and vegetables. Always seems to struggle with stock. Forget about gluten free apart from some treats, not good for coeliac. The manager of the story is a really nice guy.
Improving but cliental leave a lot to be desired. Loud mouthed and rude. Staff try their best.
