Having visited whilst on holiday we stopped by as we wanted to see if we could get a gift for a relative. When in the shop I saw an item which I thought they would like so sent a photo message to a relative to check they didn't already have it. The male shop worker came over and made a sarcastic comment along the lines of 'have you got your photos you wanted' I was taken a back replying I've sent a photo to a relative as interested in buying the item. We continued to look around the shop but felt very uncomfortable there was no signage to say you could not take a photo otherwise I would have asked. My relative then rang me whilst in the shop and the item was what we were looking for. I went to the till and purchased it and explained why I had taken the photo. The shop worker didn't acknowledge my comment. I've worked in retail in a similar shop and we would never speak to customers like this, we would acknowledge their conversations and at least have shown understanding. Such a shame but I wouldn't rush to go back. If they're not happy about 1x photo being taken perhaps signage is more clearly needed.

Great service and a fantastic range of quality stuff in this shop could spend a fortune and probably will a bit at a time. well worth a visit.
I recently walked the Nidderdale Way and I was able to get all my walking requirements including maps and fantastic advice from the friendly shop owner. Well worth a visit if you are walking in Nidderdale.
Went in to buy a map and came out with lovely clothing and the maps. Great store selling quality gear.
Great shop with loads of top quality stuff. Loads of good advice available too.
