Story

Swanley Pet Centre is now pleased to offer a professional pet boarding service at competitive rates for your Small animals. So if you want to go away on holiday, Let us look after your pets for you. Rabbits, Guinea pigs and other small animals will stay in our back room to ensure a stress Free environment. They will be given exercise each day.

Our Boarding Fees are set out below

Rabbits - £5.00 per animal per day.
Guinea Pigs - £4.00 per day.
Hamster, Rats & Mice etc - £4 per cage, per day.
Birds, Small ( eg. Budgie,Finch,Canary ) - £4 per cage, per day.
Birds, Medium (eg. African grey, Cockatiel ) - £6 per bird, per day.
Birds, Large ( eg. Macaw, Moluccan ) - £7.00 per bird, per day.

Reptiles:
( with no UV requirement ) - £4.00 per animal per day.
( with UV requirement ) - £5.00 per animal per day.

If the boarding stay is less than three days then a one off payment of £4.00 will be added to your bill.

Daily rate is charged for each day the animal stays, irrelevant of drop off and collection time.

All animals must be healthy before coming in for boarding.

Rabbits must have a current Myxomatosis and VHD vaccinations.

All animals and reptiles MUST be free of mites. We are able to treat Rabbits and Guinea Pig mites for you with a spot on for an Extra charge of £6.00 entirely at your own risk.

IMPORTANT
We would like to point out to you that one of the biggest contributors to an animals illness/death is Stress. Stress can be caused by moving or re-housing your animal. If you can find someone to visit your home to look after your pet on a daily basis, Then it is advisable that you do so. It will be far less stressful for your pet.

WE OFFER THIS BOARDING TO OUR CUSTOMERS:

REPTILES: We have thermostatically controlled heated vivariums. For your boarding fee, your reptile will be kept in a warm viv, under UV if required, fed, watered and spot cleaned on a daily basis. Also any special needs required such as spraying up to 3 times daily for chameleons. Reptiles will be housed separately, to reduce the chance of spreading any unwanted parasites or viruses, unless you yourself, bring in two or more that are housed together. All reptiles MUST be healthy and free from mites etc to be boarded here.

SMALL ANIMALS/BIRDS:
Will be kept in clean hutches/cages. They will be cleaned, fed and watered and also exercised on a daily basis.
We reserve the right to seek veterinary assistance at the owner's expense, if the animal becomes sick or injured during their stay at our facility. Every effort will be made to contact the owner if this unlikely event should happen Please make sure you are fully aware of this. We will only incur vet expenses that are necessary. We reserve the right to turn away any animal that looks sick or shows any signs of potential illness that might spread to other animals. Some illnesses or parasites sometimes show no visible symptoms or signs straight away, but can develop after a few days. Ever effort will be made to make sure your animal is cared for to the best of our ability. We are happy to administer long term medication if required. By signing you confirm all of the above and also that in the unlikely event that your pet escapes or is stolen we are unable to insure against this consequence and you should take out your own insurance to cover escape, theft or death of your pet. You also accept that should your pet become ill and treatment is unsuccessful and sadly your pet dies whilst in our care, that Swanley Pet Centre, Its Owners and Staff will not be held responsible and will not accept any claim for the loss of your pet.
