For as long as I've been coming to Upminster Swan Books has been part of the landscape. It isn't the biggest Indie bookshop - or the poshest - but it's hard to imagine the last stop on the District Line without the place. I was shopping for poetry today. The stock, whilst not enormous, is always well chosen by folks who know about books.

A most amazing little bookshop! They have books on all sorts of obscure and quirky subjects as well as more mainstream ones. Their railway book section is very good. I have also asked them to try to get hold of some out of print books, and they've come up trumps. Well done!
