I thought eating anything at Harrods meant quality, I was clearly WRONG. First, poor service, you are served without being told what is it. 2 miso soups ordered which arrived separately and lastly the edamame arrived last after salads and sushis being served. The best dish by far was the sesame spinach, amazing. The miso was fine. The soft shell crab rolls with mango, simply does not work. The Harrods special, well I could not find anything special about it. Lastly all the rolls felt very salty. The price tag is huge compared to the quality you get. Overall a very disappointing meal. I honestly thought that having a meal at Harrods whatever it was, meant it would be a good experience. Well not at the Sushi Bar.
Food: 4/5 ‍Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Notes: I’m gonna start with the good, the food quality is up to par. At least with what I ordered. The staff were professional, and I felt treated well. The only thing that bothers me, is that for bar seating, you still pay for service? And for just one sushi, one sashimi, and extra rice with water, ADDS UP TO 80 POUNDS?? I’m a bit insulted honestly. For that reason, yes I had a good experience, but the price for the overall experience wasn’t there for me and I dont see myself coming back here again.
I really hate leaving bad reviews at all costs but I have to say something to hopefully improve the quality or help someone else. The service was fine. My waitress was very nice and relatively attentive but the sushi I ordered spicy salmon roll was very subpar for the price. The rice to fish ratio was extremely off for me. The rice was ok and the salmon was fresh enough but the nori wasn’t very fresh and you’re really just paying for a rice roll with a tiny bit of salmon in it. The gyoza was ok but it wasn’t anything special. Definitely not worth the price it was unfortunately. Maybe the dishes I ordered probably weren’t the best choices to really showcase what they can do but I was just grabbing a quick bite before going home and it definitely was not worth the £40 for a beer, one roll and one starter.
This was one of my favorite spots during my London’s trip as I kept coming back for more, the sushi in here is to die for , different delicious offering and nice bar seating too. The service was great too , highly recommended
The was phenomenal. I enjoyed my . Atmosphere was wonder . Staff were friendly . Watching the chef prep your food was the highlight of the evening for me and thé sushi taste so delicious .10/10 .
Conveniently situated inside the Harrods foodhall. Food quality is better than most sushi bar but still short of top Japanese restaurant. If you are only craving for a roll or quick bite, I will recommend here. If you are looking for proper Japanese food, there are many better options within walking distance.
Went for a quick lunch with me and my mum at "The Sushi Bar" in Harrods. I can already tell you that you will have such amazing and fresh sushi platters there. We did order many things, yet the highlight for us at the Sushi Bar was the "Harrods Special", and the "Waygu Beef with Rice" not sure if that was the actual name but we will go for that name right now hehe. The "Harrods Special" has become one of my absolute favorite sushi rolls of all time! So tasty and it will be sure to leave a wonderful taste in your mouth. The presentation was also really good and it was like a form of art. Presentation 5/5, Taste 5/5 The "Wagyu Beef with Rice" was a platter dish and it was really good. I defiantly recommend you try this as well. The presentation was also really nice. Presentation 4/5, Taste 5/5. Of course there were many others that we had tried but these are the two main ones that you just have to get! Another suggestion would be that if you are going in between 12-2pm for lunch, it does get a little bit busy so be expected to stay in line for a bit.
Can’t believe how beautiful and tasty it is! Great quality of the fish and fresh ingredients. It’s lovely to see the chefs cook in front of you, it really is an art! Service was quick and really polite.
Ideal for a quick lunch in Harrods. The quality of the food is excellent and the service is great.Food: 5/5
We sat down eager to have some sushi. They forgot our main order and after 20 min of waiting after they served all the recently seated clients we asked for our check. That took another delay as their register broke. At least they let us pay the full 10 pounds for our water. What an incredibly dismissive and disappointing service.Food: 1/5
