EXTREMELY COMPASSIONATE STAFF !! Received exceptional care from each and every single one of them. They check on you every half an hour . The pretty Hungarian lady was SOOOOO KIND it was UNREAL didn’t get her name but will be returning with a bunch of flowers for her warmth , care and kindness. A handsome Sergeant works there too ! Unexpectedly ended up there one Saturday. Makes you appreciate freedom and SOOOO MUCH MORE in life.
How a family member was treated whilst at this custody centre was at times distasteful, disappointing at best and has whole heartedly has lost any faith in the police as a result by many of us. A person who was later found not guilty on all counts as a result of misrepresented and or false allegations to the police by a known criminal to the Met police might I add who had been repetitively and past sentenced and served time as a criminal. Whilst our family member had not or ever been. From the initial treatment at the custody centre where health needs were not met. Or an on duty doctor had asked on duty staff to photograph occurring results of injuries as they started to appear and worsen. A proportion of officers not acting professionally or respectfully to a female in custody. Treating someone with contempt as if guilty automatically without any fair trial who is also acting respectfully whilst in custody. Unfortunately it seems the force, those that we entrust our lives with and are led to believe are a good thing in society. Can simply be made up of members of the public who perhaps should not be in such a paid position with aspects of power and trust when they have other motives / or a personality that does not deliver such a duty in the correct way. Some members of staff were extremely disrespectful, rude, snarky comments or lapses in their professional duty made when they knew they could get away with it usually if there was a senior member of staff on duty who allowed and encouraged that type of behaviour. For your own solicitor to advice “Sadly you cannot trust the police even with the best of your innocence. They are not there to make things right but to make their life easier”. Truer words could not have been said. The whole dealings of the matter by the Surrey Police was atrocious from start to finish. If they hadn’t already failed us by the treatment that was received in custody. The chief inspecting officers worsened things by letting matters go on far too long due to their incompetence to act in good time, communicate with met police and many more aspects. To later Prolonging bail and delaying court dates. For the whole thing to be thrown out at Crown Court. Not guilty. Destroying someone’s mental health for all their failings during this situation and the repetitive failings. Someone who was originally a victim of said criminal to be played through the system by and churned out the other end because said criminal knew how to play the system. A system that will fail many innocent people, many people who trust the police. Do such persons ever receive an apology for how the police failed from start to finish. For unprofessional behaviour. Do the officers who don’t act professionally ever get actioned against internally.. No, because they sweep it under the rug when they realise they made mistakes to the detriment of others. Any any compensation they will never feel it will just come from the hands of the tax payer. Have lost all faith in the police as a whole due to our experience with Surrey Police. Too many members of staff working within this force who really sadly should not be.
my stay at the surrey police custody hotel was what i expected for the price range. The room was a fair temperature and bedding substandard. there was no minibar nor food provided. Showers were basic but helped to remove the spray from my eyes that was administered beforehand. sleeping was troublesome as other guests seemed to be partying well into the early hours. i only rate this hotel 3 stars due to the fact i got to keep the grey toweling pants which i still own to this day.
Sadly, I found myself in the Salford Custody Suite, Redhill, Surrey due to a very stupid and regrettable out of character error of judgement due to external and personal pressures, but I must say whilst in custody at the age of 53 years, never arrested nor detained ever before. I felt safe in a single person holding cell, checked on, every half hour, using my first name, provided blankets, toilet tissue, soap and as requested by me, pencil and paper. Everything carefully explained, the Officers checking full understanding. Lights were dimmed to aid my sleeping, private ablutions, ,pan out of internal CCTV view. Once again my first custody, I was very stressed but was made more relaxed due to the Offices on duty and their stewardship. I felt very safe .
Rude staff considering they wear the most corrupt uniform in the UK, the lies and twisting of wording from my interview was unbelievable. I have been gender stereotyped by surrey police which I must say they know how to victimise.
As far as nicks go having due to misunderstandings been in prisons in France Spain thialand UK in general more like a cat d nick well looked after no bullying no drama even got a train ticket home how thing's have changed since the days of the spg haha all in all no complaints very well run even the desk sergeant wernt a growler
The officers took good care off me but my complaints are not getting handled very well
Looked after very well officer's were very polite and treated with respect
Absolutely disgusting there abusive and liars and we are going to file a law suit against these wastes of space.
Lowest dregs of humanity. All congregated in one location. And that's just the staff.
