Found by accident, very interesting gallery the topic 'tangled up' has a little cafe and lots of items for sale..
First time of going. Very interesting entry to see and buy if needed. Will definitely go again. Free entry also cafe etc. 26th October there is an open day so quite a few artists there. Also 29th November - 1st December it is the Christmas fair weekend which l wl definitely be going to. It is free to go all over.
Very cool independent gallery. Went to see the Don't Play With Your Food exhibition and it was very good and unique. Would recommend : Farnsley is quaint too, nice place :
Visited today found it difficult to find my way around. Sign posts were poor. Still, it is an interesting place to see. . But what I found most disappointing was when I ordered tea for 2 , we had over a 20 minute wait it wasn't busy! Only to get served two dirty cups with a teabags in water and a tiny jug of milk.. Scum marks around th edges of both cups above the water line? What made it worse was when I removed a brown mark from the rim of one teacup and smelt it, it was coffee! The cups looked as if they hadn't been washed, and this made me even more suspicious? I went back to the waitress with my dirty cup, and asked for a clean one please? I was told it would be brought out to me. I received a clean cup with fresh water and a teabag a short while later. No apology, nothing! Post Covid, I find this particularly concerning? Even in the WC in the mill there is a notice asking visitors to wash their hands correctly, to help stop the spread of germs?nNot a pleasant experience, I'm sorry to say.
Relaxed café tearoom experience embedded within an art galary.nnWhen I have been the staff have been pleasant and engaging, best to have tea as you get a good sized pot and there is a small selection of cakes which all feel home made. This is a good thing.nnThe art changes regularly and there is seating throughout the galary area.nnA bit different and while a bit arty it is not overly hipsterish either.nnA great find but you have to look for it.nnThere is also free wifi and it is normally quiet and free from mewling kids and their over indulgent mothers.
