It was a delightful evening in the Sundorbon, the staff were all lovely, especially Beverly, who served our table. The food was super yummy, I really recommend the Tiger prawn Kolada. The kitchen will make it as spicy as you would like, so mine was flavourful and mild. I also had the Spick chicken masala Bhuna which out of all the dishes was my favourite. And for desert we shared a pistachio Kulfi. It was a smooth and perfumie ice-cream and I loved it. We tried all the nans my favourite was the coconut nan. I tried 5 mains and to be fair you couldn't go wrong. Highly recommended this restaurant
Ordered tonight and had high hopes being from out of town and it being award winning and highly rated. I’m used to very high standards from all my local ones.nThe food was obviously very freshly made, high quality ingredients and high hygiene standards. But we found our food to be lacking in flavour, the sauce for our curry was that more a starter curry base without any spice/aroma or flavour. The garlic naan was a nice bread but the garlic was just massive clumps of garlic paste that didn’t flatter and seemed not quite cooked enough to be complimentary.nnIt’s better than Indian restaurants that just chuck food dye in but just needs that bit of seasoning in.

On holiday in the area and had to try this restaurant, after seeing how many awards it had won and WOW definitely the best curry we've every had. We only had a takeaway as had our dog with us but would love to come back and dine-in next time. Only small bit of feedback is, there's nowhere to stand when waiting for your takeaway. All the tables were full so I couldn't sit down and as the restaurant is quite narrow, wherever I stood I felt like I was in the way. Only a small thing but make sure you try this place!
After reading good reviews my wife and I went along and checked the menu from outside. A passer-by stopped to tell us how good Sundorbon was! We booked and didn't regret it. The restaurant was busy on a chilly Tuesday in February says all you need to know yet the service was professional and efficient. The food lived up to expectations. It was also great to be able to try something I'd never seen on any other menu. Highly recommended.
