I can honestly say this is the worst takeaway I have ever had. We’ve just ordered 2 of the salt and pepper boxes as part of a large order. The chips were undercooked and cold. The chicken was stringy, dry and a questionable texture/taste - also covered in hairs! Other dishes were bland. Can’t eat any of it. We called to complain and the owner was screaming obscenities in the background and extremely rude. Avoid at all costs!
We've been ordering from Summer Palace for the past couple of years, and have only good things to say. We love their food, especially the shredded chilli beef and salt and pepper chips. Always delivered on time and the drivers always pleasant. This is our go-to place.
Food was 2 1/2 hours late. Rang several time. Only to be Fobbed off and kept saying its on its way. Turned up cold at 22:20 after placing the order well before 20:00, egg fried rice was anemic, spring rolls looked like road kill, curry looked like baby sick. Worst place iv tried to get food from. 2 salt and pepper chicken with rice meals £27. Don't mind paying if its worth it. But id of rather just had a pot noodle. Manager never rang back after my 5th call and complaining. Such poor customer service. Never again.
We ordered lastnight at 18:07 the delivery and got a text at 19:45 saying it was on its way I rang at 20:05 as it still hadn’t arrived and was advised it was 5 mins away then at 20:15 it still wasn’t here so I rang again and was advised the same thing. At 20:40 our food arrived and it was freezing, the gentlemen that delivered this advised he was given 10 deliveries at a time. The food was not nice at all would strongly not reccomend anyone going there apart from the fact the woman on the phone was very rude.
What can I say disappointing at best. Chips cold on arrival even though order half an hour early how does that work. Prawn toast the worst thing ever tried and if you taste anything other than it being cremated is the grease disgusting is a understatement. I think out of all the food the most disgraceful was the crispy shredded chilli beef. A tiny amount of sauce like it just been poured out of the tub and hardly even cooked and the cheek is to think they listed it as a popular dish. So if your thinking about trying this place out don't not worth the risk now here's hoping don't have food poisoning in the morning
Had a meal from there Saturday night and now me and my partner have got food poisoning both had different meals but both had chicken from there! Will not be returning again! We thought we would try with it being under new management...
Food was delicious , lovely & fresh , piping hot , ordered online & picked up , was ready when I got there , tried alot of Chinese in area & this is by far the best
Very over priced.. haven't been for many years when this place was amazing food. To my disappoint the food was rubbish! Chips like canteen chips obviously frozen not fresh!!! The chicken wasn't proper chicken was some cheap processed rubbish!! Ribs fatty!!! In fact I could go through the whole meal but we spent £35 and all I can say is a total waste of money and wouldn't recomend...
I have never used this restaurant before but it was luke warm and chips were virtually cold, got the dim sum, everything was too salty and prawn toast like rubber. Possibly the worse Chinese I've ever been!
Ordered for tickle Ave, there was a wait due to the ship being busy. When driver arrived he was polite and apologised for the wait. The food was worth the wait all correct and hot even the kids ate there's will deffo be ordering again.
