I’m always available to explore a more unique offering, a place that sets itself apart with passionate and a personal love of sharing something that they enjoy doing most; and that is simply ‘board game-playing’. What a variety they offer, initially my head swimming with the amount of board games available to play, especially considering 90% of them I hadn’t even heard of..so my need to explore has been excited and driven deeper. Additionally ‘Sugar & Dice’ provide great cakes, coffees, teas, soft-drinks, pretzels and of course a variety of cafe grub, plus, plus… All I have had so far is a great cappuccino and one of the best and I mean the best ‘Vegan Chocolate Cakes’ homemade of course I have had the pleasure of being adorned with, to which the ganache has the ‘Wow Factor’. So coming back… amazing job, love it
The best place to chill with friends and play board games! I also like how they close late so its great for those who like to stay out late but don't enjoy going to bars or clubs. Plenty of food options for people of all dietary requirements and I really recommend the Jamaica Rum tea! Great selection of board games to chose from and the staff here are really friendly and accommodating. My advice is to always book in advance as it can get a little busy on the weekends.
Cosy little board game cafe with the most relaxing atmosphere ever. Low level background music is great. Staff are super friendly and happy to help players understand the rules of whatever game they're playing. Great range of freshly made food and drinks available soft drinks, hot drinks, alcoholic drinks too!. I highly recommend this place, and advise booking in advance to secure a place!

I absolutely love board games and so I was very keen to visit this place. I’ve never been to anything like it. It’s £2.50/hour per person which gives you access to all the games which I thought was reasonable. They have over 500 games to choose from which was way more than I expected. The service was pretty good. The cafe has a variety of food and drinks to choose from. You can get hot meals, sweet treats, sandwiches, snacks etc. I went with a blood orange tea which was not bad. My wife got a biscoff milkshake which she enjoyed. For food I got a cranberry, bacon and brie toastie and a slice of the recommended vegan chocolate cake. The toastie was ok. I felt it could have done with more cranberry. The chocolate cake was very nice. It was very soft delicate. My wife got a chocolate fudge brownie which was also tasty. The service was a little slow but we didn’t mind as we were busy playing a game. Plus there was only 1 person working so we weren’t expecting quick service. He was friendly though. The board game we decided to play was bears vs babies. The game was quite fun but not a game I’d probably choose to play again as I can imagine it becoming quite repetitive and boring after a while. I love the concept of this cafe and I wish there were more out there. I love the idea of having my own board game cafe so this was experience was in someways inspiring.
It's a really nice spot if you want to grab a drink while playing. Even if you are there just to meet and chat it's amazing, nice unpretentious music, great vegan pastry and delicious coffee. Service is excellent as well.
Just had a lovely evening here. Great game selection, everything impeccably clean and the server sanitised all surfaces thoroughly and regularly, as well as hand sanitiser provided on tables. The toilet provided free deodorant, sanitary products and the toilet paper helps donate money to sanitation too - and was also very clean. Server was knowledgeable about the games and friendly, considering he was doing everything on his own he smashed it service was faster than expected considering this. Also the Beyond Burger was banging. Would deffo come here again!
I love board games cafes, and this one was no exception! Super friendly staff, a great selection of games, and a really interesting and delicious soup of the day and cakes the vegan chocolate fudge cake is delicious! We spent a good 4 hours there, and the cap on the charge for playing games is £6 each which was well worth it! Thank you! Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian food and cake options, including falafel, soup, vegan nachos, cheeseboard.. Kid-friendliness: Great place for kids! Friendly staff and lots of fun games!
LGBT review We enjoyed 5 hours of gaming today . At £20 per head with food it was a great time . The place has trans pride stickers making any LGBT plus person welcome .Friendly staff and great selection of drinks and food and boardgames. Perfect *5s Ps They sell glen affric ale , the best ale in the UK imho .
Such a great place to spend an entire afternoon! Ive been twice now and can't wait to go again. Amazing selection of games, food and drinks are really fairly priced, great suggestions from the people working there for good games to play. Love it! :Food: 5/5
