Bought my first snowboard here. Lovely and chilled staff who have extensive knowledge and love what they do. I didn't get the guy's name but he was so helpful from letting me demo the boards and fitting my bindings onto my new board. These are one of the times I prefer shopping in store than online.
Finally decided to get my own board after using rentals for years. The staff were super friendly and helpful, setting up different boards for me to demo. I’m really happy with my purchase and can’t wait to take it out on the real snow! It’s great to be able to take recommendations and try things out for yourself, and I’ll be coming back for any future equipment.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff! I went to snow and rock and the staff didn't seem interested in helping. Walked into subvert and they were super friendly and immediately helped me with what I needed. Super knowledgeable, helped me with my first snowboard boot. Gave me recommendations and spent plenty of time helping me try them on and getting the best fit. Definitely recommend visiting Subvert over the other shops if you want the best service and help!
Amazing independent shop with friendly and knowledgeable staff who are only too happy to help. Have a good selection of clothes and boards etc and a good online service too. Not found anywhere better for snowboard stuff
Just wanted to give a massive shoutout to the team at Subvert Manchester. The service that myself and my boyfriend have received has been second to none. Both of us are relatively new to snowboarding so getting advice which is both genuine and from a sound knowledge base is extremely important. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff clearly value their customers. We have visited the store multiple times and each time our customer experience has been superb and have always felt very welcome. We have now both purchased boards and bindings and we certainly feel we have got the right setup for us. Many thanks.. keep up the good work 10/10!
The best! We’ve been using them as our one stop shop for almost the past 10 years online or instore when we’re passing heading up. Mega helpful instore, over email or socials. Couldn’t ask for more from an awesome independent store. We’ve been through a few board, bindings and boots as well and numerous bits of clothing and kit. Always look forward to a visit.
Amazing Amazig ! Such a rare find to have staff who are knowledgeable and super willing to support and advise you ! I went near to closing time and team had no issue staying after ,offered a beer , no pressure to buy and just really happy to help . Underlines the need to support “independents” and just shop online for cheapest deal .
One of the best in-store buying experiences I've ever had. Awesome staff members who are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and patient. I've learnt so much about snowboarding just from speaking to the guys inside. I originally came in to demo some snowboards with very little knowledge of the sport and after many conversations and trying a bunch on different boards, I've come away knowing so much more than I expected and my first snowboard & bindings. 100% happy with my purchase and it's thanks to Subvert, I will be back!
Wow! What an experience. I am an old school snowboarder, and was looking for new/updated gear, as my old stuff was well past its sell by date! Met the manager who pointed me in the right direction, after he asked a few questions. He had a very professional and knowledgeable manner, I felt very well looked after. Even got a blue light discount as he found out I work in The Christie hospital. Just come back from a week in Austria, my new gear was unbelievable just as he said it would be! Thanks for the help and advice, definitely be shopping there again! Cheers Dave
