A cosy little cafe serving delicious, freshly cooked food and drinks at very reasonable prices. The staff go out of their way to make you feel most welcome. I definitely recommend you call in when visiting Brecon.

I do like Substation food and service in Brecon, but I just bought jack potato and saw how it was prepared for me. Old woman was doing my jack potato, she was working without gloves, her fingers weren’t very clean. She licked her finger probably, because potato was hot and grabbed pineapple and cheese with the same hand. Good job I’m not fussy, but I don’t want this happened again.  I was embarrassed to say to her in front of all people eating there. If you work without gloves please use special spoon to grab food and obviously do not lick your fingers like probably we all do at home. Sorry about this review, but it a bit disgusting.
