Happy that the goals are up for the football season... means we don't have to use jumpers any more. Ground is a little hard this time of year but that is to be expected after a very dry summer.
Ok if you like football fields. Not much there for older children. No public toilets either! Lots of attractive trees. Not enough seats and NO picnic tables or anywhere to buy a snack or a drink. Great for dogs!
Nice to see the charity stalls at stubbington fayre today, nice weather
The field of my childhood, wonderful place to grow up. Lovely green fields which can also be used for playing football. Many events have been held on these fields and have been excellent every time. Skate park is a little old but still golden for non-professional use. New football/basketball area is a win, much needed.
This public area is best during spring and summer but is kept clean throughout the year. It has a dedicated play area for children: rock climbing area, slide for older children and jungle gym area, separate toddler slide and activity area. It even has two sets of swings with a swing for a child with mobility needs but no belt is available for the seat. This is a no dog section of the park of course but if you have furry friends there isnmore than enough field space for some exercise and a few ball games around the children play areas.nnFor the more adventurous children it also has a rope horse included. About 20 metres from the play area you have a basketball court / mini football area and a yes mega skate/ scooter park.nnIf you have forgotten your lunch and the weather is good for a picnic. The village shops are 5 minutes walk away. The library and public facilities are slightly closer and it is all clean areas, so please keep it tidy.
