Lovely garden centre with a great cafe, home furnishings and delightful food & drink products. Great quality products with fair pricing. There's an aquatic shop on site too. The kids love to visit especially when the Christmas stock arrives! Easy and plentiful parking.
Always love visiting this dog friendly garden centre. Helpful, friendly & knowledgeable staff, good quality plants + a whole range of gardening / outdoor products + much more. Great cafe/restaurant also. Pleased I managed to pick up a sale bargain on my recent visit see photo
Had a Bacon, Brie and Cranberry baguette in the restaurant, very generous on the brie and was cooked perfectly. Excellent food and delivered to the table very quickly. Despite there being a queue the staff were very efficient and ensured the queue continued to move at a steady pace with food being served quickly.
Go now whilst the Christmas goodies are on view. I loved the complete animated village set on a hillside. There's a train, brewery, fudge factory and so much more. Just go for the festive spirit!
Really disappointed with the food. Went I'm after 5pm, limited menu. Ordered a fish finger wrap and a bacon club. Both came with a tiny bit of salad that looked like it had been out all day. Coleslaw was sour. The wraps were greasy. There were a handful of chips which were ok. Shame as we have eaten there before and it was lovely. Won't be going again for tea
Great Christmas displays, brilliant cafe
Food looks lovely on display but all open to people coughing, sneezing and touching. When stood in the queue you will notice people coughing over the displayed food. In these times in particular restaurants should keep all food covered due to Covid and flu being about.
Fantastic garden centre with a great range of all the things you'd imagine. Superb Christmas selection at the right time of year and rightly famous for its miniature Christmas Village display.
The wind chimes I wanted were on display, the only ones left. I did tell assistant manager Lynn that they were for my 70th birthday. She came to the till when I was paying and asked cashier to reduce them. A brilliant, thoughtful gesture which made my day. Thank you again.
Huge garden center selling absolutely loads of stuff including non gardening things And has the best garden center cafe i have ever had the pleasure of experiencing worth travelling from durham just for the food
