Been here for my birthday yesterday. Very good steak, nice, tender and full of flavour with the cheese on top. The salad fresh and well seasoned. Yesterday was looking very busy, but I was glad to see that few of the staff members was making eye contact and offered a smile. Very impressed with the blonde young lady from bar that she knew every small detail on our drinks order. Good changes from my last review, better customer service but always room for improvement. Keep going
Good pub with tasty food. Order was cooking for 15 min, quick service. Polite and caring stuff, also nice music in every section. Loyal prices. Every day there are nice deals such as BOGOF etc. Very satisfying with food and atmosphere
Great family friendly pub with lots of space. It was clean and well kept with a nice welcoming atmosphere. Service from Adam and the team was swift and efficient. Food was unbelievably good value not sure how they do it and make a profit!, it was well cooked, the portions were very generous and served by friendly staff. All you can ask of a family friendly pub really, definitely worth a visit
Called in mod morning for a breakfast. Lady that served us was lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was also nice. Just a shame the breakfast was delivered by the owner, who was still in his scruffy outdoor coat with feathers sticking out of it.
Friendly welcoming staff make it a great place to visit. It's a very large pub with plenty of variety in seating - large groups or being tucked away in a corner are equally well catered for. The food & drink selection is always plentiful and it's good value for money.
Large menu, lots to chose from! There's an app to order through which would be good if it showed the full range, we were trying to order a specific set menu on the kids menu but it wasn't available. Similar story with some drinks so we just ordered at the bar - I guess a lot of others had the same issue as there was quite a queue at the bar. Apart from this, no problems! Staff were friendly, food was good for the price you pay and a very spacious pub. Even has a Wacky Warehouse for the kids!
If you wanting food. Eat at Macdonald's next door. If you wanting entertainment watching headless kids staff running around with no clue then this is the place for you. Ps I can't stand macdonald's and I'd rather lick wee off a hedgehog. Yes the food here is shocking. Thanks for the reply but your email is invalid. Spot the difference on my pictures
Walked in with my children and had to clean my own table. The place was a mess! Terrible attitude from staff and managers. I had to wait to order as the female manager was having a good catch-up with a friend that someone else was serving. Clearly far more important than taking a customer's order. Then I pulled her up on it full of attitude. Discussing attitudes from managers and discussing place. Would not return and will not recommend it to anyone just tell them to avoid it.
food very good although mix up with meat pie instead of mushroom and ale pie for a non meat eater.Big let down sticky table, menus dirty and gummy, condiment containers not clean, floors messy.Noise was a bit overcoming for our guest who has disabilities A shame as staff and food good. Staff very curtious over food mix up.
Went for a meal lunch time last week with 3friend 4 including ourselves,meals were mediocre . The main problem was the burger and chips had number of hairs in the onions and burger. .the meal taken back a begrudgingly apology was offered and eventually a refund on the contaminated meal was given.The pleasure of taking friends with us to what we thought was going to be a pleasurable experience turned out to be a disaster.Won’t be going there again. John Bagwell
