I seem to end up with the same receptionist when I phone. In my opinion she goes out of her way to be as awkward, patronising and condescending as possible. I don't need someone at least forty years younger than me deciding whether I need to see a doctor or not.nThe next available appointment I can have is in SIX weeks time. Have tried phoning at 8 a.m but by the time I get through all appointments have gone. Test results either disappear or the doctor hasn't seen them. I requested a copy of my medical notes and they were ready within a few days so I was able to see my results and information regarding my medical condition without having to interact with receptionists or doctors .nTalk about patient heal yourself!!!
I always was ready to defend the people working dor Strathmore. Yeah it is nigh impossible to get an appointment, you are on hold for 30 min or more before you get through. Repeat prescriptions are arranged atrociously it has happened two times now I could not get my repeat prescription in time, regardless if the fact I requested it two weeks in advance. But you know they're up against it with all the cuts etc. But a while back I came in with my 16 month old, who had goopy eyes. Nursery mentioned that some of the kids had needed antibiotics. So it being Friday, 15.00, I rushed over to see if I could be seen to get a cream before the weekend. Not a single doctor in the building had the decency to stick their head around the corner for 1 min to check if he needed antibiotics or not, a 16 month old crying lad. Reception literally told me to just ring out of hours. Who were amazing, and kinda now make me purposely want to wait till out of hours so I don't have to deal with Strathmore.
Recently,I had the good fortune of seeing Dr Kingsley. She reminded me of Dr Ken Wilkinson who worked at the practice many years ago.Dr Kingsley listened with a very attentive ear, and furthermore with great empathy , and makes the patient totally relaxed. Time was of no essence to her, which is so so important to the patient .nnDr Kingsley is a great asset and addition to the Strathmore team.,and I am informed that she is only a locum.I only wish that she would join the practice on a full time basis.nnI am sure that other patients who have seen Dr Kingsley would share the same sentiments as myself.nnAlso we must not forget the backroom staff who administer our on line prescriptions, who provide a very professional and excellent service. Thank you .
Very good reception staff, Doctor was nice and helpful, understandable we have to wait to get appointment after covid nothing is the same, they do there very best they work no stop.
Doctor side wonderful but when you get to pick up the pills there so so slow and waiting to be seen seems like it's getting longer dont think you like working here it feels like
