I had a heart attack at the age of 37. My repeat prescription was due and the pharmacy at borras pharmacy were amazing and showed me they hadn't received anything from hillcrest. I called in to ask about it and explained I will run out of my medication for my heart condition on Sunday. Was met with a rude young gentleman who said I needed a medication review and they had cancelled my meds. I've never had a call or text off them to say I need this. I explained the situation and he giggled. So explained it needs sorting and still waiting for a call. Rude staff. Appalling service
Simply can't get an appointment with my Doctor.nEvery time I call at 8:30, I'm either told the queue is full and to get back later. Or I end up in a queue for over 3 hours, only to be told to call at 8:30.nnHonestly haven't seen my Doctor in year over 5 years.
Honestly useless. They told me at 8am I can book an appointment in advance but need to phone at 8.30. Phoned 8.30 to hear that I cannot from a very incompetent person. This place needs to be sorted and especially stuff. How do they work if they can’t even do their job? Horrendous.
Never, ever feel the need to write a review but my word, this place needs to sort itself out or simply close.nnI don't want to sound harsh, and I hope these comments can be taken in the right way. I understand how hard people work, I understand the stresses the NHS and any medical staff are under. But at the same time, there is a basic level you need to hit and this place, and the pharmacy next door, need to go back to beyond basics.nnIt is always a nightmare trying to get even something as basic as a prescription sorted, I honestly fear for anyone who has a serious need for medical help.nnThere is no communication, every member of staff seems either so disinterested or so down trodden that they fail to function effectively, it is so sad to see, but also absolutely infuriating.nnEvery month, without fail, there is at least one issue with getting a prescription. The staff in reception of the doctors are, again without wanting to sound harsh, completely hopeless. Whether this is through incompetence, lack of care, or just plain laziness I don't know, but you have to help others to help yourselves.nnI have recently moved and am relieved I won't have to deal with Hillcrest again.nnTake this positively, improve, step up, take pride in your work or please put people out of their misery and shut this place down. Dramatic change is needed and it can't come soon enough for those who continue to need it.
Making an appointment is a nightmare over the phone. Somedays rang up to 50 times in 30 minutes and by the time the call is answered there are no appointments. Even poping in at 8.30 at the surgery to get an appointment doesn't guarantee you one. Never trust the text reminder. The initial booking time replaces by the text without the staffs awareness as they tell you making you miss the whole appointment.
