Very expensive for what you got. No air circulation round the room. Grout in the shower was bogging and no extractor fan. Window barely opened, no small fridge and the sofa bed was u comfortable. Breakfast wasn’t included in the extortion so paid for that which was very nice. Staff were lovely in the restaurant. If you’re not familiar with To y breakfast, you have to pay at the bar then go get your breakfast. It wasn’t too bad but I expected more for the price, probably wouldn’t stay again
Just off the M74, it's a busy site with a holiday inn express next door. Parking free. Room was fine, comfy, and appointed for business travel. It was also quiet considering its location next to the motorway. Toby carvery does get rammed, so it's best to book a table. And if you like roast dinners, you're sorted as the menu is limited for other options. Breakfast buffet, and its good but it was missing Breakfast Yorkshire puds and hash and the eggs were hot plate cooked! No runny yolks. But all edible and as much as you want. Not much else other than toast. Staff friendly but over busy, so not the most attentive.
Lovely room, good value for an overnight just off the motorway, but noisy as just off the motorway but quiet enough with window shut. Staff are a bit rushed in restaurant when checking in, but that’s often the way when they’re dealing with busy bar and reception, they were doing their best. Restaurant not terribly good but this review is for hotel so I won’t knock it for that. We didn’t bother with breakfast due to having an early start at 6am, and service is from 7am
As a Company, we love Innkeepers Lodges. They are normally a step above Premier Inn in terms of comfort, service and food. Unfortunately, the Strathclyde Park one is an exception. Whilst the hotel is the usual high standard, breakfast is appalling! The only available food is congealed cooked breakfast on a hotplate. Now I don't mind crispy bacon but when it shatters on contact, it's no longer edible. I had the nerve to ask for an orange juice. After mumbled discussion amongst staff, I was told I could have one but it would be £3.20. It was then served from an unchilled carton. My advice, stop here by all means but have breakfast elsewhere! Fortunately for my Company, we've negotiated a discount at a new hotel in Hamilton.
Convenient location from the motorway. Room was very clean and the hotel was nice and quiet. Lovely meal and excellent breakfast, although they had no marmalade but overall a pleasant stay and would likely stay here againRooms: 5/5
The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful and fun to talk to. The room was lovely, great to work in as well as relax. The shower had great pressure and both the bathroom and the room were spotless. Love the USB charge points all over and the natural light at the desk area was great to work in. Lovely Loch nearby for a saunter during my breaks. Food and drink at the Toby never disappoint and this one was no exception. Great selection and service.
Had a very enjoyable stay. Was very busy when we arrived and got checked in ok. The carvery was nice and hot. The breakfast is probably one of the best I've had at a tobyRooms: 5/5
Grumpy welcome Food was awful, we arrived tired and hungry. Had booked for 9 on a Friday Was told on arrival come earlier there won’t be food if you wait. So we did there was only salt of the earth gammon. dried out Yorkers, left over veg….. not even charged a reduced rate .. room was fine bed had mucky mark on it. Called the number on booking site for fresh bedding no response. Breakfast was included on site, grumpy front of house even said the earliest we could have breakfast was at 7. So we waited before setting off only to have to pay £36.50 for 3x breakfast 2 colas and a coffee ??? Yey it was grumpy lady again asked can we have scrambled eggs - they arrived looking like mousse in milky water……
The room was ok and the bed good. However, Breakfast was terrible. Unattended, no coffee, no cups , no one around to ask. Eventually woman appeared and got us a coffee out the bar machine which was not nice. Later a guy turned up clearing up multiple uncleared tables and some coffee was put on, that was equally awful. No clue as to where orange juice was - not put out in jugs like normal places. The breakfast was equally awful tepid / cold everything , eggs swimming in some sort of watery swill, spoilt the whole stay. Wont stay there again. And then there is security, whilst the lower room corridors were protected, the upstairs was not, anyone could walk in from the carpark through the residents door which was broken/not locking, looked like it had been that way for some time. I wanted a refund for the breakfast but had to leave. Carvery 8pm was nothing left that we wanted, and nothing other on the menu. Left and went elsewhere. Place had been rammed by locals spending £6 each for carvery offer.
Fantastic room, all mod cons, very clean room and a double shower with double head to die for, Fantastic staff and beds are very comfortable, would definitely stay again.Rooms: 5/5
