Very enjoyable stay in a suite at this hotel. Facilities are very good overall and customer service is excellent. Staff are very friendly and happy to help ensure your stay is a great one. The two room suite was fabulous, though perhaps in need of a little cosmetic TLC here and there, but nothing that detracts from the overall comfort. Pool and leisure facilities are a welcome bonus too.
My wife and I just stayed at this Holiday Inn! My first time in one but my wife has stayed in many when on business! The purpose of the visit was Business/Family visit from Thursday to Sunday! We were very impressed with the room, spacious and everything you needed! The Staff were super friendly, the food was excellent and everywhere clean and tidy! In addition we were thanked for staying and given extra drinks vouchers, this attention to detail and generosity is something that sticks in your mind when we plan our next trip to Scotland. Well done to all the staff, you done yourselves proud!! Haste Ye Back. Rooms: Spacious and everything provided but needs a fridge to put the icing on the top! Food & drinks: Good chef, immaculately turned out, great food for reasonable prices.
A 3 night stay. The room is good with plenty of space in it. Dressing table & chair, 24" tv. Kettle with complimentary tea & coffee. Iron & ironing board. Comfy bed and good choice of pillows. The shower room has complimentary liquid soaps and a well controlled shower with enough pressure, though it's let down by the sealant around it, which needs replaced. Breakfast is good, and there are plenty of choices. The evening dining menu is ok with prices typical for a hotel The food is good quality. A leisure gymn is available and was inclusive but untried.
Such a lovely hotel. Staff were very accommodating to mine and my families needs. Would definitely recommend this place to others. The swim area was amazing, my son loved it so much!Rooms: 5/5
A up and down sort of experience here. Rooms are ok but do look dated. Bathrooms are more modern but have a crazy shower design which means the shower tray fills up fast then just starts to spill out onto the floor which isn’t a wet room. Our friends one started flowing out into the hall. Ideally located for trips into town centre or for visiting gigs/football at Hampden. Uber is your friend getting here but normally too far out to get one in East Kilbride. I’d suggest you call Mo’s Taxis! Breakfast is great but service is criminal. When a coffee machine drip tray is overflowing and spilling hot to mild warm water onto a an area with plenty footfall and y YOU have to take action to clean it up rather than staff then you’ve some issues. Hard to find a lot of smiles here, maybe one or 2 max in the staff. Plenty wrinkles in the night staffs shirt though… Would I stay again? For a night yeah, any longer nah. Nearby activities: Good access to Hampden Stadium
We were here for a meal only. It was lovely I could find no fault with it. The service was excellent and the waitresses were very friendly and attentive. A very pleasant time. Service: 5/5
the food is lovely, the staff are very nice but in particular there is one middle aged waiter who has served me many times in the restraunt and gives me the up most respect and great service everytime. room is basic but good, nothing over complicated. good hotel.Rooms: 4/5
Service was great. We had an issue with iur room when we first arrived, but it was satiafactorily and quickly addressed by the front desk. It was a bit tricky to navigate the hallway maze to our room, but not a big problem.Rooms: 4/5
An Ideal Gateway for Exploring Scotland with Exceptional Hospitality Rating: 5/5 My recent stay at the Holiday Inn East Kilbride, along with a group of 30, was an experience that surpassed all expectations and left an indelible mark. Right from the outset, the warm and genuine welcome from the staff created an inviting atmosphere that made us feel immediately at ease. The check-in process was seamless and efficient, a testament to the hotel's professionalism. Throughout our stay, the staff exhibited a remarkable level of attentiveness, going above and beyond to ensure that our needs were not only met but exceeded. The rooms we had booked were a true delight – spacious, well-appointed, and meticulously designed. The attention to detail was evident, from the quality linens on the comfortable beds to the thoughtful assortment of amenities that catered to our every requirement. The breakfast buffet proved to be a wonderful start to each day, offering a diverse array of fresh and delectable options that catered to various tastes. It was a perfect way to energize ourselves for a day of exploration, and I must highlight their thoughtful provision of halal sausages, which further underscored their commitment to guest comfort. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the pool and wellness facilities. The generously sized pool offered a fantastic way to unwind, and the accommodating nature of the staff made the experience all the more enjoyable. In conclusion, my stay at the Holiday Inn East Kilbride was nothing short of exceptional. From the remarkable hospitality to the well-appointed rooms and excellent facilities, the hotel provided an ideal launching point for our exploration of Scotland. I'm already eagerly anticipating my next visit to relive this exceptional experience.
EDITED 8/1/23 to say that I'm still waiting for part of this refund! Awful! Was double charged upon arrival. Had proof I’d paid but still had to pay again to get into our room at 11pm after exhausting journey. Have now been told it will be refunded but let’s see. Pool was closed for 2/3 of our stay. Terrible noise on second and third night from corridors and upstairs. Opened door on New Year’s Day to be confronted with beer cans and rubbish bags strewn around at 9.40 in the morning. Informed staff and the beer cans were removed but hotel rubbish and dirty plates from other rooms were not-the attached pictures were taken at 2pm and show hotel laundry and boxes piled up right by our room-28- almost felt malicious as if to say “don’t complain” -and dirty plates etc still in corridors despite housekeeping staff being out and about. Also reported water coming in through shower light. Was told it was inspected and was fine. In the same email informing me that there were no maintenance men on site due to holiday to sort pool. Allegedly refunding half the cost of 1 night. Also room hadn’t been cleaned despite me telling staff at reception AND the housekeepers when we went out after waiting for dodgy light inspection. Clearly no one inspected ANYTHING or that would have been done. I travel regularly for work and a few times a year as a family. Booked here as for once I couldn’t get a family room in Crutherland up the road and a pool is a must for our family trips. Husband was ill with stomach cramps. Only time we ate different food all trip was at breakfast, so presumably kitchen hygiene was down to same standard as everything else. Would have left and gone elsewhere were it not for the time of year/stress/hassle/having child and unwell husband with me. Cannot believe the leak situation-looking at reviews elsewhere there clearly are plumbing issues. I used to run a holiday business and I would have had my guests refunded and/or booked in elsewhere at my expense if something like this had happened. Signs up trying to push people into undeserved good reviews to”help team” but clearly published by hotel. Really poor, avoid! Safety: Leaks coming through lights-avoid. Poor cleaning and maintenance.
