Sorry. I have had decent fish and chips from here in the past, but my chips and fish bits on Wednesday afternoon were awful. The chips were like fried cardboard, not a good one in them, and the fish bits were too greasy and soggy, the fat tasted foul and the fish inside was grey. Couldn't eat more than one, and felt sick for hours. I won't be getting any more from this place.
Not good at all 4 cod bites chips and spoon ful of curry. 6 nuggets chips and spoon of curry sauce £14.10. Nearly fell over when the Mrs brought it home. Only went here cos other chippy is closed on Monday. Won't be ordering again.
Decided to pop in for lunch while in Stokesley for something else.. we chose a hotdog and a burger.. we both enjoyed our food.. chips were gorgeous and my husband said the burger was really really good! Staff were absolutely lovely and the setting is nice.. we would definitely return!
Nice food, cafe no longer open so has lost some of its appeal.Food: 5/5
First visit today as on holiday in the area had to wait a few minutes for the fish to be cooked but was certainly worth the wait, massive portion of proper chips too. Probably the best fish and chips I have had for ages.
Beautiful fish and chips dinner. Lovely staff and grear service.Food: 5/5
A very average fish and chip shop. To much batter and very very well done chips. Everything was freshly done but I'm sorry but I couldn't recommend this place.
Enjoyable fish and chips but portion on the small side
My wife and I only bought two lots of chips with curry sauce.... The chips are proper 'farmhouse'-style. Real chunky and full of flavour. Great value, and tasty as hell. just 3-4 shops down on the same side as Thomas the Baker.
Burger was Very greasy and chips were over cooked rock hard won't be back
