Really good, amaising views and plenty of places to stop and rest if the weathers nice. Walk was not too bad but make sure you take plenty of water and wear comfy shoes.
Great carpark to park in for a walk around the reservoir. The reservoir is just under 8 miles to walk around and is a great walk. The paths are decent too. The carpark was a few quid to park in and there was plenty of spaces to park in.
Was a good walk, unfortunately not much water in the reservoir but still enjoyed it anyway
The Stocks Reservoir Path is a very enjoyable 7 mile walk taking in beautiful scenery in the hills and woods above the reservoir as well. It is well sign posted in the anti-clockwise direction but not so much the other way. The path is very well maintained and easy to follow through the fields too as it is mowed to help you to see the route to take. You can stop for refreshment at the Stocks Fishery cafe which is at the 4 mile point.
Brilliant place for a walk, not too crowded. Nice and relaxing place to get away from it all, good for dogs too
Great carpark to start from for dog walks. Follow the orange posts for a 3+ mile walk and the blue posts for a 8+mile walk. There is a great bird watching hut overlooking the Reservoir. Not pushchair or wheelchair friendly. It does get muddy in places. DOGS CAN BE OFF THE LEAD MOST OF THE WAY! £3 parking for the full day!
Plenty of parking and some nice walks from here including a 8 mile circular of the entire reservoir. You are supposed to pay to park to line the councils pockets for there christmas do however if your like me then just ignore the parking meter and keep your money in your own pocket. There are gates on the entrance, it looks like it gets locked up at night so watch you dont get locked in.
Super walk around the res'. Well signed and good surface. More gentle climbs than you'd expect on a walk around a lake. No pubs for miles
Beautiful place but need better signs on paths. Carpark only accepts coins but isn't usually busy or you can just park at the hub and walk down.
