Story

STITCH BY STITCH is born from a passion for fabrics, sewing, and all things crafty! A 'sewing oasis' in Stowmarket with a relaxed atmosphere, where like-minded people can meet to shop, learn and most importantly .... HAVE FUN.

We look forward to welcoming you whether it be for a reel of thread, to attend a workshop, have a demonstration on a sewing machine or overlocker, for some help and advice with your latest project or even just a chat. The shop is spacious, all on one level with easy parking right behind (fee payable).

We offer a wide range of exciting, ever-changing courses and workshops, something for all skill levels. If there is something you have always wanted to learn on a course and we don’t yet offer it, feel free to let us know and we will do our best to make it happen.

We stock fabulous 100% cotton fabrics from Lewis & Irene, Benartex, Moda, Michael Miller, Robert Kaufman, Dashwood Studios, Ginger Lily Studios, Clothworks, Studio E, Riley Blake and many more. With regular deliveries of fabric, we aim to keep our range fresh and exciting.

We hold in stock the full range of New Look, Burda and McCalls Sewing Patterns and also a range of sewing and quilting magazines.

We stock all the essential haberdashery items: pins; hand-sewing and machine needles; elastic; velcro; interfacing and stabilisers; buttons; ribbon; scissors; bias binding; felt and toy stuffing to name but a few.

We are stockists of Mettler thread, Olfa rotary cutters and Creative Grids cutting boards and patchwork rulers. We also stock quilt and craft wadding: Warm & Natural 100% cotton, Poly Perfect 100% polyester, Insul Bright heat resistant and Pellon fusible, which is perfect for bag-making.
