Stermat (Valley)

What an amazing shop. I even found things I didn't know I needed. A truly remarkable range of stock: I bought lightbulbs, batteries, casserole dish, baking trays, frying pan, door bolt, roasting pan, dust pan and brush and all for under £50, and the casserole dish and lid was £12+ alone. Fantastic shop and there's a garden centre as well.

Awful! A bazaar of cheap tat. It is packed to the rafters with second rate goods but is not that competitively priced. Staff are rude and unhelpful. One "lady" was restocking the car parts area but would not move to let me get to the product I needed- I had to walk back up the aisle and go down the next to get back to the point I wanted. The 3 tills are stuffed into a dark corner where the trolls serve you without any eye contact or pleasantries at all. If you are desperate for something and can't be bothered to travel a couple of miles on to Wilkos or home bargains- this is the place for you. Shopping should be a pleasant, relaxing experience. This place is definitely not! Too much tat packed into dull dingy conditions.

Brilliant place where you can get literally everything you need for the house and garden. Good quality and good value

Great all round all purpose department store, lots of quirky gadets... if you have a strawberry that needs hulling, a pomegranate that needs deseeding or a pineapple that needs slicing you'll find that handy tool at Stermat! And the garden centre is simply excellent. They have interesting plants that are healthy and are a fair price. I love browsing in this large shop... i always find things i didnt know i or a friend needed! Possibly one of the most interesting shops on the island whether you come from venus or mars.

This is THE place to be dropped off at by your partner / wife! Browse for hours while she wanders around at the retail park! This is an amazing place, full of things you don't know you need or want, till you enter? Beware, time will evaporate ??

So impressed with huge variety of stock at some unbelievably cheap prices. Never let me down yet over many years.

Fab place staff friendly ,, they sell everything literally everything ! If they dont its not worth having , reccomend a visit ,prices good too

Great place it has everything anyone could want a great traditional hardware store

Good shop with plenty choice. Only downside was it was very dirty and covered in dust. Some stuff had been there so long the price had completely faded of the ticket. Staff could of been friendly
