Had a lovely lunch at the newly remodeled, re-named, and under new ownership The Linden Tree. We opted for the chorizo, steak, truffle chips, and greek salad tapas small plates. We loved that we could try multiple menu items at a reasonable price. I highly disagree that it is overpriced for the quality and quantity of food you get in comparison to other tapas restaurants; we got 4 tapas for less than £25. We didn’t partake in the cocktails but they had a nice selection. We sat in the conservatory which was lovely and sunny with a view of a nice garden with outdoor seating. The decor was very nice, tasteful, and cozy and we will definitely be adding this to our rotation.
Very nice gastropub/ restaurant. Lovely outdoor garden area for when the weather is nice but a really pleasent restaurant area complete with conservatory. Not an extensive menu choice which let's you focus on the choices that are available. Staff very friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable for what you get. Would recommend trying this restaurant.
Thé setting is wonderfull, but that is personal Taste. Thé food was superb, thé grilled ribeye is from heaven, my wife had fish and chips which was Tasty and very good, thé desserts where very Nice, thé prices are more thén ok. But above all, thé staff is friendly and honest. I was given thé wrong Bill initially and being a foreigner I Found thé Total amount very acceptable. We could have been Well on our way But they discovered thé error and it was corrected immediately. I Will certainly, a 100% sure come back here with friends on our next visit to UK. Thank you staff of "Thé Station" , I Will recommend your family pub to everyone I know and thé rest of thé world.
The food was fantastic. Good choice and excellently cooked. The place looks great inside and there is a good sized space outside with several tables and umbrellas. I can't wait to go back
Such a great place to go for food and drinks. Me and my friend enjoyed time out. Food was outstanding and waitress man was brilliant with cocktails. He provided service brilliantly. Definitely place to return. Still lots of food to explore. Highly recommend this place.
I previously gave this steakhouse 5 stars, but i think it's changed hands, the staff were very friendly and service was nice and quick, good beer but sadly the food was well below par, over cooked burger and soggy onion rings, chicken was dry and the chips were nothing more than oven chips with lots of salt. Sadly i have to reduce my rating to 2* even though the staff are nice, I have to base this on food which wasn't up to standard
Great job on the makeover, loved this place back in the day. This time around food was very nice, however with a venue that has upped it's level in quality and price no wine sub £20 it should have table service, not order at the bar like a pub! Also staff could do with an injection of warmth before we think about going back, average experience overall
We ate at the Linden tree today, for a roast for 3 people. The service was exemplary, the food was excellent, nothing was too much bother, we were offered extra veg & we asked for extra gravy. This will definitely be a regular eatery for me now. I cannot rate it highly enough!!
We went to the Linden Tree last Wednesday 4th May 2022 for a work meal. There were 10 of us and the food and service were absolutely amazing. Great atmosphere with a good selection of music playing softly in the background. Thank you so much Vikki and the team, I will definitely be returning with both my work colleagues and friends and family
This place can't decide whether it's a restaurant or a pub. Most of the inside is set up for dining so if you just want a drink there's a small area at the front. As the first pub out of the rail station there's a shocking lack of real ale on a it's a GK pub predominately a real ale brewer in their home town b placed ideal for first or last drink close to rail station. Sat in the garden which is a bit unkempt. Rating as a pub only. No knowledge of the food. Hopefully this is taken on board as constructive criticism as the pub could and should be much better.
