No good taste . Spended 34 pounds on food for 2 people and regert it after coming here . Food is no where near indian food . I was served with butter chicken full of coconut and tandoori chicken slices in it and burnt naan bread which was £3.50 for one naan bread . If you really want to waste your money go for this place . Im so sorry for harsh feedback but this is reality .they really need to look into thier food and quality . Only one person working on the floor to serve which is very exhausting when you need to ask for anything to topup .

Ordered from here for the first time. Food was actually tasty Indian style. However, could do with more spice. Onion bhajis were a rip off and overcooked, as were the naan. Naan were shana paratha size which is ridiculous really for size, especially considering the price. Won't be ordering again. Not worth the money. Won't be ordering again. Also, restaurants response to the feedback left on here; not exactly inviting! Quite surprised with the sarcasm and unprofessional responses. My bet, this restaurant won't be around long!

Food was in no other words, amazing... Easily now on my top 5 for food places, ever . I am Not a poster/review-type mormally! Service was quicker than I expected went in pretty late so it was quiet Expected odd treatment bc of my attire, but wasnt treated In any negative way. Server was well-mannered, & professional. Venue was very polite about closing didn't mention it, or ask us to leave, just noticed towards the end they were very quick to bring what was asked we eventually asked for the time, then realized & left quickly to not keep them waiting any longer. Oh! And everything is really well priced!! For the quality and flavor !!! Theres a bunch of options.. Basically... this place is all of the yes.

My compliments to the chef and all staff. The food is absolutely beautiful!! Beautifully made and SUPER, super tasty. Love your Bombay Potato!. I also love the organising methods by labelling and numbering the individual foods so nothing is left out of any orders. For instance we had 5 items in total in our order and we noticed you labelled all of them "1 of 5, 2 of 5...". I have not seen other restaurants do that and I think that is a very smart, efficient and successful strategy. Big Thank You to Star of India and I shall be ordering again very soon. I shall definitely recommend to everyone. 5 Stars from me!

WARNING DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! This is the worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to! The food was so watery and bland, we couldn't even eat it. The food didn't even look or taste authentic. The chicken was tough and the lamb was fatty. Even when I went there to collect, they had sent it out for delivery and we had to wait for it to come back to the shop!! When we called to complain and asked for a refund we was told no and they said just write a bad review. The low standard of food is shocking, it doesn't even deserve 1 star and is that bad it shouldn't even get and rating. Personally they should close down or find a chef that can cook.

Great selection of food. Never disappointed. Swift delivery. Favourites are tandoori mixed grill and paneer and chicken shashlick.

Another lovely meal. Loved that they were able to make the curry of my choice with chicken thigh instead of breast. So tasty. Portions are generous too. I switched from the restaurant I previously used because of ever decreasing serving sizes. I’ve found a new favourite,

Star of India is still the best Indian restaurant in East London. The service is excellent whether eating in at the new venue in The Plough & Harrow Public House, or delivery. The food is top quality, fresh, well prepared & delivered in a timely fashion. The proprietor Shah & his Team of award winning Chefs will cater for all needs & try to meet all requests. Ordering online is easy & delivery times swift. The prices are comparable with similar restaurants in house & for delivery. Staff are polite, knowledgeable & friendly. I'd highly recommend Star of India. Look out for offer codes for 'specials' & events . Thank You all

The best quality Indian restaurant in the area, every dish was beautifully flavoursome with real spices. I highly recommend.
