Popped in here for a late breakfast. Friendly welcome and a bubbly waitress came to take our orders within 5 minutes of us being seated and having a glance over the menu. It’s cheap and cheerful food so can’t really complain. It was busy with a good mix of people which is generally a good indicator to me, lots of seating area available. Food came out relatively quick but one of my over easy eggs came out with a broken yolk, as did the other person’s I was with. The lattes were really smooth and came in a latte glass mug that was pretty, I really enjoyed the lattes.
So, this isn't the same cafe as we thought it was. Nergiz used to be a greasy spoon. Now it's a more fancy/trendy greasy spoon, but I say that from a place of love. The food and coffee was perfect, staff were lovely, and it's the same family who own it. Definitely recommend grabbing a bite to eat there Dietary restrictions: Lactose free options
This Café is now called Bromley's but I think still have the same Turkish owners, which is reflected in a few Mediterranean style options on the menu. They do a great Full English Breakfast, American style pancakes with bacon and syrup and their smoothies are really good too. Staff are really nice and is definitely a family friendly place to eat. Add to that some sourdough loaves to take away with you and this is a very welcome addition to this part of Lea Bridge Road.
My latte tasted like burnt milk and I burned my tongue! I was hopeful as the place looked nice and they use all press but unfortunately it seems like they’re lacking a little bit of substance. I haven’t tried the food and so this is on coffee only.
A great place! If a huge menu, big portions and everything cooked to perfection is not enough, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I had the set breakfast and very good it was too. The coffee is way better than in most cafés of this type and even the seats are comfortable. Big picture windows mean that you can watch the world go by as you eat and if you are bored by this, there are a number of newspapers dotted about. Shame that the council forgot to replace the bike parking when they upgraded the junction as I arrived by bicycle
This no longer the Star Nergiz but has the same owners. The cafe has updated the exterior and interior to a more modern Shoreditch standard. It's got a real hoxton vibe to it and is moving with the times which I can fully appreciate. With this the menu has seen an overhaul, as have the prices! I wish they kept some of Leyton vibes with the decor as I feel the originals are still their main customer base with Costa being just across the street. That being said I wish them well and well done for innovating and staying afloat during lockdown!
Amazing food, the friendliest of chef’s and waitresses, would definitely recommend and 100% coming back! so affordable and tasty. Probably the best cafe I’ve been to.
Absolutely love this place, been coming for a while now. I actually come all the way from Dagenham missing all my local cafes to specifically enjoy this one. I have many good memories here too. The food is amazing and so is the staff. I can never leave without having a refill on my cup of tea! Keep up the standard guys!
Breakfast is good, but tea or coffee not included in price like some of the other cafes around, and so it is more expensive.
Great service, tasty food and I loved the new interior now! Stunning furniture, definitely a place to return to!
