Use to come here all the time and the food was lovely. Went there recently and the food was awful. Chips were overcooked and taste of fish. Assuming fried in the same oil. Pie was microwaved. The only thing that was half decent were the onion rings.Service: 4/5
Hello, I went to this fish and chips shop on my lovely trip to bognor. When I walked in, I was unfortunately met with an unappealing scent that made me feel slightly queasy. However, I brushed it off as I was getting take out, to take back to my hotel to my family. The service was adequate, however did wrongly add vinegar to my chips. I did not try the food until I returned to the hotel, to which the staff gave me a funny look, as if something was wrong. When I walked into our hotel room, my son and wife pulled a funny face as if to question me. I asked what was wrong, and they said I smelled like something had died on me. I was not surprised, but hopeful that the food would substitute for the smell. We dug in, but then stopped immediately, as the fish was undercooked, and the chips were slightly soggy. I do not know if this is because of the 5 minute walk I had to my hotel, but I am very disappointed that the last few hours of our trip were stripped of happiness, as we went hangry for the rest of the night.
Chips were bad dry and clearly been there all day, the cod was overcooked and the batter really heavy and not nice the sausage as you can see was overcooked as well, for such an expensive price is was not worth the money, save your money and go to the one on the pier or in the town centre, I'm so disappointed as I'm starving, the staff were nice but I went for the food not the conversation, overall if I could give it mo stars I would

This is the worst experience ever. Why show a picture of cod n chips like it does only to end up with a fish cut in half down the centre seem and charge the extreme. I ordered a large cod...it was the size of a large fish finger. Absolute rip off. You can only keep misleading your customers for so long! Your time is coming. Waste of money for a very poor product.dobt go there!
Got a takeaway from here a couple of days ago; a portion of chips, fish burger & bit of cod was £17.40. We asked if we could have crispy chips & the young man said yes - the chips were tasty but weren't crispy. The bit of cod was very small - it's about 1/3 of the size from our usual chippy which is cheaper too. Everything was cooked ok apart from the chips not being crispy, it tasted nice & the young man who served us was very polite & friendly. However we won't be eating from here again as it's very poor value for money; more expensive than most chippys yet with much, much smaller portions
First and last time coming here. Walked in the door Saturday night should be busy but just one other customer here bit of of a worry anyways i ordered chicken and mushroom pie and chips £7.60 seemed excessive. Pie was microwaved in front of me so when I got home put the pie straight in the microwave at home for additional 5 minutes chips were ok and pie was ok after I'd done it myself but with chicken I don't take a risk. So overall underwhelming and not great
I can only give this three stars as although there is nothing wrong with the food, the portions are smaller then ever. Small cod and chips £6.90 it was small too. I know everything has gone up but the portion sizes seem to have gone down. Will try again in a few weeks.Food: 3/5
Used to come here all the time and loved it. Nicely cooked burgers and fish with good portions of chips! But lately the chips have a very strong taste of fish, I'm assuming they cook it all in the same oil unfortunately. Having the taste of fish on my chips when I am not eating fish is very unpleasant. Hopefully they sort this out, if they do I would be happy to return!
Very disappointing food and service. Tiny bit of overcooked fish in horrid batter. Fish had been skinned so unable to verify it was haddock. Generous portion of tasteless dry chips. Overcooked and dry mushy peas. Indifferent service and they only take cash, suggesting I go to the cash point across and up the road when I have a broken ankle. Think I will investigate alternative places for my fish and chips in future, I won’t be returning here.
