We love coming here with Mr 3. So many different trails to take. Lots of wildlife. Plus the sculptures are fantastic! Free parking too
Walked through to the park from the hotel. There are several good boots are best paths immediately around the lake area and much more widely up past the cemetery into Stratton Woods. There is some signage but more would be useful. We walked 5 miles in all, but got lost on a seemingly simple red arrowed circular route in Stratton Woods. Lots of dog walkers, kids, big enough area for all, some benches, but not many. Parking is extensive and sometimes tea and cake is open in the adjacent house volunteers which is excellent, every time. There is a loo at the back of the house/tearoom but not sure if it's permanently open. Wood carvings around the trails are good to spot and an events board advertises activities in season. Playground: No, kids come for the walking. Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogwalkers use it!! I haven't got a dog so not sure about poo bins, but I've never stepped in any poo! Picnic area: You can sit on the wall and look at the lake. Perhaps share your picnic with the swans. There was one bunch on an open bit of ground in the summer, but I recall seeing it in the water I think !
Great winter walk with dogs, kids and cousins. Kids loved the wood carvings and climbing fallen trees. I'm in a wheelchair and access was easy apart from a tree that was blown onto the path by storm Arwen, so I needed a push or 2 when off roading. A cold day finished off with hot chocolate and cake for very reasonable prices.
Always a nice place to get the kids and dog out. Have a little detour up to the house for a nice cuppa or on a hot day refreshing pint .
Beautiful place to visit, cafe, toilets etc, lovely place to spend the day walking through the trees, some awesome carvings to look at too.
Great park for walking with kids. Good wooden sculptures to see, small rural cafe, pond with ducks and swans and forest to walk.
Easy to find, great free parking, dogs are allowed and it's a lovely walk for family and friends.
Good paths woodland, lake and fields fun for children looking out for sculptures. Weekends Every Cloud run's drinks and cake kiosk at weekends until December
Great paths ,some areas a bit muddy.Lots of parking and also they have poo bins unlike the National Trust.Had lovely Valentine's Cream Tea in Cafe.Had to book, but it was brilliant!
Great place to walk with or without a dog. Lovely sculpture and art around the park. The craft centre/tea room's not been open when I've visited, but it looks interesting. Free parking and quite a lot of it - I've never struggled to find an available spot. Open park and woodland areas to walk in, so quite varied. There's also a bee research facility on site that has a section of hive to view from the outside.
