Good carpark to catch a train. Take care, the bridge to the station is not always open which sometimes imposes a detour through a slightly sinister long tunnel under the tracks, then on a dark path in the trees.
Sky bridge is closed on the weekends, however, it doesn’t say that anywhere until you arrive at the bridge. Parking is only by phone or app, recommend the app as the automated phone version hung up after receiving payment but before I could enter the registration. All in all a pretty terrible experience.
Very bad experience. Firstly once we left the car there we realised there was no access to the platforms as the bridge which connects the car park with the train station is closed during the weekends and there was no signal until we were about to cross the closed bridge Getting back to the station from there on foot would have taken too long We had to leave the car in another car park which is closer to the station. The signage and information needs to be improved. Also it only can be paid using the Apcoa app. There is no machine to pay in cash or with credit card. Not very convenient for old people. Almost missed the train.thsnkfully it came late.
This car park is NOT for access to Swindon Train Station. The foot bridge is for the exclusive use of The Research Council buildings. Access to the train station is via Station Road.
NO access to the train station over the weekend, not sure about weekdays, no refund issued, just avoid if you can.
Missed my train as this is not for parking at station on weekends as the access is closed off!
