What a great place to do business. We spotted a car for sale on Autotrader that fitted the job that we were looking for a car to do for our Canadian Son in law who married my daughter and has come to the UK. We contacted the garage and spoke with Stuart, the owner, who was really helpful and agreed a time to suit us to view. When we arrived, a delightful place in a lovely location where we were greeted by him. He had all the documents ready for us to inspect and gave us ample time to look round the car without hovering over us. We were then given the chance to have an accompanied test drive and without feeling pressured in any way. The little Nissan Pico was everything we had been looking for, beautiful condition, very low mileage with full stamped service history and a full service just completed. It ran like a new car without any issues to concern us. Having met Stuart and seen his spotlessly clean workshop and such a great car we were very happy to buy the car there and then. We called today to collect it, clean and polished, with much happiness. We would have no hesitation to buy another car from Stansfield Garage and Stuart. Lovely people, lovely place. Thank you Stuart, a true gentleman.
An absolute first class experience. Stuart is among the most honest, courteous people I have ever met. We live in Norwich and broke down close to Stansfield Garage. Stuart diagnosed a broken gear linkage which was available the following day. This left me with a problem as my wife was in the car, a specially adapted Citroen Berlingo, adapted to carry the greedy collossus I was unfortunate enough to marry 14 years ago, a 30 stone crisp and chocolate devouring, cake swallowing, pizza gorging Buffalo, unable to move without being manhandled, pulled and tugged through doorways like a victorian wardrobe, too large for a bath or typical shower cubicle so jetwashed twice weekly like a double decker bus. We decided the best plan of attack was to leave her in the car for the night with a plentiful supply of junk food and for me to stay the night at Stuarts house. Stuart cooked me a wonderful meal, Gordal Olives to start with, for the main course Stuart braised a cows nose in a black garlic ketchup with tenderstem broccoli, a pineapple poached in spiced brandy concluded a spectacular meal. The following morning we returned to the garage to await the arrival of the gearchange linkage, the garage floor was littered with food wrappers, pork pie packaging and sixteen fizzy drink cans dropped out of the car window by the now sleeping beast inside. The linkage arrived by 10 a.m and within the hour it was fitted, Stuart roadtested the car braving the unbearable stench emanating from the underpants of my wife. We had a good journey home, the gearchange is perfect. Many Thanks for everything Stuart, the service, food and general hospitality were outstanding.
I recently bought a Toyota Yaris for my daughter, from Stuart at this garage. The car was just as described in his advert and is perfect for her. Stuart ensured that the car was in first class condition, fully serviced and valeted. I was so impressed by the service I received, that I have recommended this garage to two other family members who have also bought cars from here. I was prepared to travel 40 miles to use this dealer. It is not often that you can find a garage where you feel that you are in safe hands. I would have no hesitation in returning to this garage in the future and I would thoroughly recommend it.

I have neglected to write a review until now to see how the car I bought back in November a 2007 reg Fiat Panda 1.3 multijet held up over the bitter Christmas period. All in all I am pleased to say that it has had no problems so far, other than the car freezing up on the cold mornings which is to be expected with most makes and models. Stansfield Garage is a little bit out of the way but as I discovered, well worth a visit. Stuart seemed like a genuine bloke just trying to make an honest living and was more than happy to chat about the cars in stock and the pros and cons of each model there. I had been looking for a Panda for a few weeks and as soon as I saw this one and test drove it I was really happy with its condition and how it performed on the road. This suggested to me that, while his stock was fairly limited, he did only take on vehicles in good condition inside and out. He also offered me a good part exchange deal on my old car and was more than willing to answer any other questions I had, even offering me a brew while we discussed the sale. I would definitely recommend Stuart to anyone and can only thank him for his excellent service. I can only hope my Panda will go on to provide me with many more months of care-free motoring and as there haven't been any problems yet, I think this could be a real possibility. I bought a Toyota yaris from him maybe 4 yrs ago and it has been a fantastic car no major problems jus general wear and tare repairs like breaks wipers. Keep sayin I want another car n I think if i bought another wud be from here definitely. Lovely guy seems genuine nice guy not gonna sell you a ringer. X
Had a service & MOT ,all done in the 1 day ,great customer service. I will definitely use this garage for any future work on my car.
