Great pre sales experience. But beware if you have issues after you have bought and do not ask questions as Wes will tell you he is bored of you and shout at you. The worst experience I have ever experienced. I will not be going back. Only giving 2 stars because of the pre sales experience
Brilliant garage with friendly professional staff that go the extra mile to help you out! Great customer service, trustworthy and fair pricing. They’ve always got me booked in at a convenient time, kept me updated on progress and carried out the works asap. Keep up the good work
Crooks. No other word. I went to them with a bust vehicle, they agreed to help out by scrapping it on our behalf as we were away from home and in a difficult situation. They were seemingly kind and supportive. Once home I sent the part of the V5C form that would allow them to scrap it. Their receptionist soon called saying they need the number on the other portion of the form to scrap it. I gave it not knowing better. They then changed ownership, fixed the car and are selling it in their showroom. When I called and confronted them about the matter I was offered scrap value £150 for a car that was not scrapped and they were going to make £1000 profit on. "I changed my mind" he said "it's fair profit" he said. Do not trust this garage, as I did.
Bought a car from here and realised there was an issue straight away. Brought it back and they agreed to fix it. Since then they have had the car 3 or 4 times each time failing to fix the issue. They then tried to suggest the issue didn't exist, that it was in our imagination, that it was because we were poor drivers, etc. Finally we drove with the sales guy in the car and he admitted there was an issue. They now want us to pay someone to else to fix it and then tell them about it? They won't accept the car back and refund us even though we have had legal advice that we have a right to do this because we brought it back with a fault within two weeks of purchasing the car. We now are stuck with a car that has a fault that we either pay to fix or try and sell but will lose money because of the fault. The only other option is to take legal action against the garage. This has the been the most stressful experience and has upset us a lot. I am pregnant and not comfortable driving this car and really do not need the additional stress and financial burden to fix a car which was sold as fully working. Really disappointing customer service we basically feel we have been robbed. I would not trust these people they are very friendly until something goes wrong and then the tactic is to keep fobbing you off in the hope that you go away.
I've taken my cars here for many years now and I can honestly say I always get a first class service. The owners and skilled workman always deliver, and they must be one of the best and most honest garage owners I have come across. First class workmanship by super friendly family run business, I would highly recommend using this garage.
The most pleasant car buying experience I've ever had. Communication and after care was second to none, especially given the lock down and subsequent restrictions. Would definitely buy a car from here again.
I will state facts only in this review. I bought a white jaguar. Within the first week, a safety issue was found. When driving on the motorway, under braking the car would shudder violently. I returned the vehicle and asked for a refund which was refused. At this point my rights have been breached as per the Consumer Right Act this states I have a right to reject within 30 days. I wrote a letter explaining my rights and referenced the relevant sections of the Consumer Rights Act. The car was then fixed by putting new brake discs and pads on explained to me by James Shepherd and a new Mot done by James shepherd which passed and surprisingly without any advisories all previous Mot's had advisories. I then received a letter from 'Legal Solutions 4 U' stating the car has no faults and I should collect it after abandoning it and I have no right to request a refund. I collected the car and the following day, several warnings appeared and the car would not start. While looking in the boot, 6 inches of water was discovered near the battery which could have lead to a potential fire. This time, I hired an independent mechanic to do a inspection report. The report stated the car is not fit for purpose and should not have been sold in this condition. I had to pay for the car to be recovered back to James Shepherd and once again I requested a refund which was refused. Luckily, I purchased the car using my credit card who have reimbursed me back in February. Only last week, I received a letter from James shepherd instructing me to collect the car or I will be charged storage fees. At the same time, the car was advertised for sale on the James shepherd website. I will not be dealing with this company again. Even after two major safety problems I was refused a refund. I also had to pay large costs to have a inspection done and the vehicle recovered.
Hi Twice in the last six months the Technicians at Shepherds have fixed my car when other garages have failed. I am very impressed with their technical expertise and would not hesitate to recommend them.
Terrible customer service served with an aggressive rant. The garage refused to provide documents relating to work they claimed to have carried out on my car under warranty, said they had lied to the company who provide the warranty policy to have work authorised and tried to intimidate me by ranting in my face about the way I looked at them. Try a dodgy backstreet garage, you'll probably have a nicer experience.
Purchased a car from this dealer paid 3200 with one month warranty and 3 month warrantywise. So far the car has had repairs of over £1600 SINCE 3RD DECEMBER so God knows what it will cost in the future. If you want a HASSLE FREE vehicle then AVOID THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS!!!!
