The sign says it all real pub with with real ale and really nice people. 5 beautifully kept Real ales varied but also locale. My first visit will back next time I am up next month
It is hard to get a seat in this venue, but that is due to the success of the top ales combined with top bands and really friendly staff. A wide range of people can be found in here. A touch expensive for a regular haunt but for a social night, it is the bees knees.
I've been several times recently. It's a down to earth friendly happy place with good beer and loads of live music on. I'd recommend Thursday nights with Mark Reader
Great entertaining night...very relaxed and funny quiz with the flamboyant Nathan... followed by Strider and his Jam night..loads of talented musician's great selection of real ales friendly staff....and it's only a Thursday night!
A great night out with friendly staff and really good live music. I would recommend it. On the down side last orders are early compared to most other places on south road. Still worth a visit though.
Fantastic day evening night spent many a penny there food also great. Music entertainment friendly bar manager and staff only happy to help and serve you. And a variety of the best cask ales money and has to offer cant wait to go back. Ben daley
Large selection of drinks, especially the real ales. Great music venue with a brilliant atmosphere. Great to go to alone or with friends. Bar staff are always very friendly too!
Always a pleasure to come here though the chance does not present itself as often as it used to. Staff are top notch and the prices are good. I like the atmosphere but I'm not into loud shouty pubs. Cant wait to make a return journey.
One of the last remaining genuine boozers with live music since the old bank was sadly taken from us. Great atmosphere, great beer. Great!
It's a great pub for real ale and live bands. I have seen so many great live bands in here on Friday and Saturday nights, great atmosphere, friendly staff.
