Since last visit in August 2023, practice has undergone significant changes to staff no receptionists available today. The care my pet received much better than last year. However, the prices are becoming astronomical including £54 consultation fee on top of a blood test. I know we will do everything look after our pets but better transparency required please
Medivet Colchester Maldon Rd provided exceptional care during a recent emergency with our dog. When Bella needed a C-section and her puppies had no heartbeat during the ultrasound, the team, led by Kat and Chloe, went above and beyond to save them. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, all four puppies were revived. The entire team, including the nurses, displayed professionalism and genuine care throughout the ordeal. Kat's personal touch ensured Bella received the best possible outcome. We are immensely grateful for their outstanding service and commitment to our pet's well-being.
Unfortunately this veterinary practice has really gone downhill. We have been using the practice for many years without any issues but since being taken over by Medivet it has really changed. The vets keep changing and the poor receptionists are run off their feet with the veterinary nurses having to help out. Our appointment last week was 45 minutes late and only one vet working who was a locum and it was her first day! These money grabbing big companies need to sort themselves out before they lose all their clients !
I have been going to the practice for many years. A friendly and helpful team. Care for the pets well being and go the extra mile to help. Always make the pets and owners feel comfortable. Answer all questions and give good advice. Thank you for everything you have done to help my pets :D
I’ve used this veterinary practice for many years. It’s very clean and well run. I trust the care and advice offered here from very experienced vets. Despite it just being a routine appointment, care and time was given plus some excellent advice on how to best care for my pet, now they are getting older.
My cat has been rapidly losing weight, vomiting and had diarrhoea since January. I've taken her many times to St. Runwalds and been seen by a different vet each time because they always seem to have quit by my next visit. None of the vets have been gentle or patient with my cat and now she's terrified of going. It's been over 8 months and my cat has got no diagnosis and no referrals for expert care despite my ongoing attempts. I wouldn't trust this practice with my pet at all but no other vets are taking on clients so I'm stuck with this one. I was seen by Rachel last week and she has now taken on the case. She's been fantastic so far and is also appalled at the lack of care my cat has received. This practice has taken so much of my money, but given zero results so far. Update: my beautiful cat took a turn not lot after this and we ended up having to put her down. They guessed she had intestinal cancer. Researching it for myself all the signs were there the whole time, I have no idea why they never picked it up after all the visits.
This is the best vets I have ever been to! The staff have deep care for animals and humans too- I’ve had two cats pass away in the time I’ve been with St Runwalds and they have gone to the trouble of sending cards each time. The vets have all been patient and kind when caring for our cats - truly wonderful!
Part of Medivet. Has become very expensive and only one vet on duty. Booked a week ago, still very busy and running very late leading to more stress on pet waiting room. No separation of cats and dogs.
I dropped in here after one of the aristocats I serve sustained an injury to his left front leg following an altercation whilst he was out socialising. "Harry" returned home after a night on the tiles with a large cut to his front left shoulder/top of leg. As the dutiful servant that I am, i bathed and applied anti septic to the wound. Aristocats are not financially forthcoming and I have currently fallen on extremely hard times due to a serious illness and have no income The following day I observed a dramatic change in eating habits,behaviour and appearance... the only thing I could do was take him to my local vet's and plead for them to help him. St.Runwalds - came to "Our" aid. They were AMAZING... "Harry" needed pain killers and anti biotics... urgently... The immediate service and care that St Runwalds provided us with was nothing short of "The Best". It was an extremely stressful time for us.. however.., TINA W - REALLY pulled out all of the stops for us. Nothing short of passionate about "Harry's" well-being. When the Rspca and Pdsa failed us, TINA and the rest of the staff at ST. RUNWALDS REALLY CARED for both of us. I really am so grateful... "Harry" is back to his chilled out happy self.. THANK YOU ALL SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH X
