Very dreary little place needs better staff by a long shot.

It needs a bit of tlc in main ticket office, especially if you want a chair. Good cup of coffee, staff friendly enough. Men's toilets very, very small but cosy if you like to call it that. Couldn't spot a disabled toilet, lifts to platforms though.

Staff at the gate were very rude, there was a problem with ticket machines at sandy station. They very kindly allowed me through and said to tell st.neots staff..I did and they they said didn't care and what do you want us to do about it. I said I can call the sandy station and you can hear from them. I managed to get hold if the gentleman and all seemed well. Until the gate staff asked me which class I travelled and I said standard one way which is £3.90 and they tried to make me pay first class. After they just to pay for the standard I handed him £4.00 and he complained I didn't have the correct change and wouldn't accept it.

Much improved after the construction of the new footbridge. Why they didn't keep the old one as well is beyond me, as it would greatly reduce congestion during peak times. The other problem, after the construction is finished, taxis are no longer using their allocated parking spots but instead park on double yellow lines by the bottom of the footbridge, causing traffic congestion for people trying to get out of the car park.

On Saturday 16th January at 7,35 there were 3 people waiting in a queue to buy tickets for the 7,42 train to London. The counter had a blind down and a guy was on the other side but made no attempt to talk to us. I then saw a lady picking up the "station cat" and asked her when the kiosk would be open....she very rudely snapped The computer is down and there is a machine outside if you want tickets!!! 2 of us managed to get tickets and run like mad to just catch the train, the third got on the train with no ticket. It doesn't matter how good the station may look it is all down to the quality of the staff and on that day at that time they were completely useless.
