Very steep climb for those who aren't as able, but well worth it. A beautiful castle with even better views. The staff dotted around the castle are knowledgeable and talkative. A must see if you are in the area. Do check the tide times before though if you want to walk across.

We were able to walk across to the Island, Lovely harbour & little houses. Cobbled walk up to the castle, which could be a little tricky for some. The castle it's self is very interesting & informative, being a National Trust property, there is always someone to ask any questions. The views are spectacular.Great little cafe too, We had a wonderful visit. Highly recommend.

We took the boat to reach the island, its port is little and crowded, but the landscape is fairytale. Be careful about the boat's time table, as the castle is closing early. (Unfortunately no low tide that afternoon) Check well before, if you wish to walk down the path in the sea, and ask to Tourists Office. Nice place with a romantic Giant legend... you'll try to find the shadow in the see, or the shape in the island, of the Giant in love...

Really special place. Been here a couple of times and always enjoy ourselves. The garden is really well planned out using the steep inclines to great advantage. I found it possible to transverse the paths with a young child without much difficulty (might be difficult if you have difficulty walking to enjoy it all). Super views out over to the beach and sea. The house was great with a great flow through the different areas. I liked the Church and roof top with super views out over the sea, beach and garden. It is really super with the causeway the children just loved this. Would recommend a visit.

This is a must if you are staying in Cornwall or just passing through. The setting and the scenic views are breathtaking. The Castle, grounds and harbour are amazing. The walk across the causeway was breathtaking. Sturdy footwear is a must.
