Perfect for a walk over to St Michael's Mount and back over the Causeway! DO NOT PAY FOR A TICKET JUST TO WALK OUT AND BACK. You don't need a ticket unless you want to go in!
Max stay is 3 hours which still gives you plenty of time to either enjoy the town, the beach or make it over to the mount. Chargers range from £1.80 no change given is paid by coins up to £5. Can be paid by coins, card, app or phone.nBays are nicely marked out with wooden curbs in the ground that helps to stop the terrible parking that so often hogs cars parks. Maximum vehicle lengths so apply.
Decent enough car park, but a bit tricky to find places and fairly expensive. It is the closest one to St Michael's Mount.
We enjoyed a visit to St. Michael's mount but were 5min late when we got back to parking. I received a 100gbp parking fine with the potential to go up to 170! Before I left the car park I purchased another 1 hour to make up for it, but I guess they don't accept that.nI'm glad I don't live in this big brother surveilled country, I couldn't handle it day to day.
Scam!nThey did not have a working machine, after lagging for ages it would not take my reg number as only one letter worked. It still proceeded to payment, so fully paid, placed ticket in the window, and was fined anyway!nnI have appealed as I luckily still had the parking ticket in my car, however they declined my appeal as they claim that I am in charge of fixing their faulty machines!!nnAbsolutely outrageous. ..as their website! Neither of their parking machines not their site is user friendly, I had to borrow a device as it would not work on a mobile.nnThey also charge from the moment you are in sight of the camera so make sure your leave extra time to leave way on time as they will go by video pictures not by your ticket purchased.nnAvoid if you do not want to ruin your holiday...
