A Warm welcome to St Michael’s Dental Practice, where we aspire to provide you with the best dental care in a warm and friendly environment.

With its name inspired by the local church, St Michael’s has been part of the South Shields community since 1913, making it the longest running practice in South Tyneside.

We offer a wide range of services from simple treatments such routine dental care to advanced treatments such as full cosmetic makeovers and dental implant work.

St Michael’s is a dental practice for both NHS and Private patients. Our dentists, nurses and staff are trained to the highest standards to ensure you receive the treatment you and your family deserve.

Really great lovely dentist! Just had my first ever fillings and all of the staff and my dentist where so nice and patient with me even when I was freaking out about needles ect. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely Brilliant !!!!!!!! David Ellis and his assistants have given me my life back !!!

Over the last 10yrs, I experienced the worst treatment by dentists, to many to describe. Mixed with a fall, due to a broken paving slab, my teeth were in a horrendous state. They were broken and missing.....I stopped smiling, and covered my mouth when talking. If anyone did see my teeth, I always ended up apologising and explaining why they were in such a state. I was terrified to go for treatment. 
       I found St Michaels online, and booked an appointment. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel welcome, the staff are fantastic, professional, friendly and caring. My dentist, David Ellis, is a  miracle worker, and an artist. I cried when I saw myself in the mirror, I had teeth!!!!! Not false, or bridges, real teeth. It has honestly changed my life, and if anyone is looking for a good dentist, you will not be disappointed, St Michaels is a Great dentists. I really can't be more grateful. Thank you.

Was very wary after a bad experience elsewhere. But St Michaels has has been fantastic, staff are great and put you right at ease. A really positive experience.
