Beautiful church! Well worth a visit, it's straight across from the lityle Dalton Castle. I arrived when a christening was taking place so unfortunately couldn't take pictures of the inside, didn't feel comfortable doing that, but it was lovely to catch the end of the service & the little girl looked adorable!
Just visited the annual Christmas Tree festival. I would highly recommend a visit during December. Take lots of change to give to the tree charities.
Went to see the Christmas Tree festival. Was lovely as always to see all the trees made up in their themes. Love see the stain glass in this stunning Church.
Stunning church in an amazing location having a wedding here is amazing, location it's perfect, priest is funny too - architecture stunning and the gardens and flowers are lush, worth a walk round
Nice church. Very cold inside.
A beautiful parish church that is well cared for inside and out. The Christmas tree festival is a lovely tradition to raise charity funds.
I LOVE this church. I've always thought it's a real jewel in the Crown for dalton. If you're a visitor to Dalton this is a must. It's outstanding, with all its pillars, organ and stained glass windows. It's a lovely place.
Lovely Church, very friendly and welcoming Vicar. My great Grandparents were married here in 1892 John Jackson and Margaret Ann Furness. She was the daughter of local engine driver Thomas Furness and his wife Margaret Askew. Visiting St Mary's was so important for us. Thank you
Big church with lots of christmas trees on show around December time.
As churches go...a fantastic bit of architecture...a really nice place to have a service of any kind especially weddings/christenings
