Good service, nice place, but the servings are a farce. The dirty fries are about as big as a small McDonald's portion and skinnier as well. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw they were supposed to be £5.20. We did do the 5 for £21 but its a far far cry from the serving sizes you'd find at spoons. I understand not every establishment can meet their value but I was honestly gobsmacked when these tiny plates were brought out. Adjust your serving sizes. The refillable soft drinks were good value though, I must admit.
We came as a walk in on a Sunday hoping that we could get in as it was a last minute decision, we was not disappointed. We was greeted with a friendly smile at the door, shown to our table and told how to order. We had roast dinner, which was delicious and definitely filled us up. It's somewhere we will definitely visit again next time we're in the area. Many thanks!
Walked in and was instantly greeted by our waitress Claire. She went through the menus and even gave us the special menus. Food was excellent, well presented and did not have to wait to long. Claire made sure we were well looked after
We booked a table for 10 6 adults and 4 children for lunch, as we had family visiting from Spain and London. The moment we walked in we were made to feel extremely welcome by the entire team, nothing was too much trouble. Our server Claire remembered us from the last time we had seen her approx. 4 years ago!. The menu was extensive and we spent some time choosing, but were never made to feel rushed at all. Our full compliments to the chef, everything was done to perfection. On making our selection, we had drinks and starters, followed by desserts for those that had enough room for them and more drink refills of course! Everything was delicious and our visiting family were amazed at the quality of food and how well they were treated by your staff. We will definitely be returning on a more regular basis. Thank your team so much for a wonderful experience at your restaurant. One of our sons Zen aged 10 had this to say whilst we were eating - he even insisted on typing it himself: "I need to leave a review, the food is brilliant but the best part of it was the service"
We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Spring Tide yesterday. We have eaten here several times over the years, but had only been once before since lockdown. There was plenty of choice on the menu including lovely Sunday roasts. Our waitress was very attentive, and the food was well presented and very enjoyable. Will definitely be going back
Had a lovely meal here once again.. food was very nice and cooked perfectly. Grandson had the mixed grill, which was massive! And he said was the best! and waitress Claire was excellent and extremely friendly.. x
Went today and was really pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Lots of vegan options which was nice too see - I’m sick of seeing just ‘three bean chilli’ as the only option for me so I was happy to eat a pizza today! Me and my partner shared a trio of starters and had a pizza eat. Cauliflower wings were honestly the best I’ve ever had, if I could make those at home I’d never leave the house! Our server Claire was really lovely and made our first time here really memorable. She spoke to the surrounding customers and remembered details about their life, asking them about their children and home life. It goes a long way when waitresses invest in the customers and I could feel everyone really appreciate her atmosphere. She also spoke about her boss being vegan! If you are reading this, great vegan menu items! add something to the grill section like bean burger/sausage + mash etc Just so there’s some classic pub grub in there too enjoy Vegan pizza was absolutely fab Never going to harvester or Conrad’s again, I want this to be our new regular. Excited to join quiz night too
I've been living in Lowestoft for the last year attending a trade college, and I found the Spring Tide early on during my stay. I went once and was immediately impressed - so impressed, in fact, that I've come back every Thursday since! It's all you could want - the food is always fantastic I can heartily recommend the steak and ale pie, I've had that quite a few times. The decor and atmosphere are great, and as for the staff... Well, yesterday was my last day in Lowestoft, and I've left behind a lot of friends at the Spring Tide. Thank you to manager Rob, you really have put together a great team. Jay is the ideal barman, always had great chats with him. The other managers, Jenny and Hilary, have always been fantastic; and as for the waiting staff, they've all been great, but I of course must highlight my good friend Eloise, who is one of the loveliest people you could hope to meet. I will be back to Lowestoft in the future, and let me tell you, the Spring Tide is what will be drawing me back. I can't wait already. It really is the place to be in Lowestoft.
Called in without a booking no one at front desk so got a drink from bar eventually then went to front and got a table there was plenty of staff just no interaction all seemed to be relying on the app ordering which I'm not a fan of
We had a lovely lunchtime meal here. Our waitress Claire was lovely, very helpful, friendly and cheerful. The food was great and was served in good time. We will definitely return.
