Good old fashioned pub. I particularly like the old fold down benches outside. Lovely quiet location next to church. Good beer.
Had a great meal here today after travelling on Settle Carlisle railway. Warm welcome, very friendly staff, well kept beer and excellent home cooked food. Highly recommend the ginger pudding and custard.
Cracking pub and with Mandy at the helm it will go from strength to strength. Hopefully I should be back before my yearly Christmas Eve visit.

Nice, traditional pub, hidden behind M&S, great landlady and cook. The steak and ale pie is a masterpiece and a very decent choice of ales.
