Went to this branch to get some football boots for our 11yo son, we've been to other shops as well as Sports direct over the years such as Nike, Adidas and Puma and we've never had the level of service that we received from a young man today called Oliver. Initially he came over as we were looking at the selection of boots and asked us if we were ok, standard stuff, but when we told him that we were looking for new boots he asked my son what position he played and then asked my wife and I what our price range was after he got our answers he showed us a selection of three different boots and then explained the advantages and a couple of disadvantages of each of their respective design features to all of us but kept the focus of his explanation firmly in our son's direction. You can't fake the level of knowledge that he had about football boots and I've never been more impressed with the level of customer service that I've had from anywhere. We left there with a brand new pair of football boots perfect for a goalkeeper and a pair of gel heel cups that Oliver managed to upsell to us!
The staff are very rude and dismissive. Management seems careless. Impossible to get a refund, they say " only credit not or exchange" they refuse to give you your money back. Terrible service
Great store! Friendly staff. Now has a section with GAME.
Fabulous service by the lovely molly. She was upstairs on her own yet she went above and beyond to help my mum today. Nothing was too much trouble and she was polite at all times.
Decent selection of stuff BUT the staff downstairs are very unfriendly and not very motivated to help. Same with the staff at the top level on the tills. Too busy talking to each over. Football shoe staff were helpful tho.
Staff need proper training on refund policy! Man on door says refund allowed, even before I set foot out of store as item had been put in wrong basket so price to high. Cashier says no we have to have a gift card. Got it sorted by man on door and refund given! Too much hassle to say should have paid price advertised!!
Service was not great. Very hard to find anybody to help and when we did the young guy had no idea if they sold baseball caps? But when we found them the choices were plentiful.
Staff just ignore you stand around chatting to colleagues and when do get them to acknowledge you they have no stock of what you want marvellous!!!!
Rude. Twice picked up the phone and twice put it straight down again!
The branch manger, tall guy with fair hair is amazing. He was on the door on NHS 50% off day he worked his socks off. I was super impressed when they started handing out umbrellas when it began to rain. 5/5 he is a credit to you Head office on the other hand are the complete opposite. Dont reply to any form of communication I’ve made with them.
