Disgusting in human experience as I went on Saturday to shop for my little kid and we were shopping and my daughter was sitting just right next to me and there was like a customer assistantCA who approached my 7yo kid and snatched a toy which my kid was looking there and said you cannot be stealing in the store while my child was standing right next to me and when I Approached the customer assistant regarding that she said" well she is looking like stealing in our point of view" and I said no she is not and she shouldn't be talking to the child like that CA said yes I can and when I said don't walk away from me she walked away saying yes I can. that was disgusting! I asked for the manager to speak to so they kept me waiting for 35 minutes but no show from the customer assistance or the manager of the store and it according to them he was busy taking interviews on Saturday and nobody came to talk although every single one of them were watching this disgusting happening my child was horrified.
Beware when buying from here, as they refuse to refund purchases and will only allow credit notes to be used in store. This is when something was bought in error and tried to return the same day with receipt. We will never shop at sports direct again, in store or online.
Absolutely shocking customer service NO refund policy is a joke! It’s they’re policy it’s not law. Went to a different store. Guess what got my refund. Would never recommend buying in South Shields store.
Been in the south shields store today with my daughter and grandson. Spent nearly £100 between us.. I really wish my grandson didn't really want his football purchases as I really did not want to give this store my money, and for one reason only....the absolutely SHOCKING customer service. We spoke to 3 staff members one was the guy on the till, and not one of them gave us eye contact or tried to help us. At most we were told the item we wanted "was in the far corner"....staff desperately need training in customer service.
Beware of 'Black Friday' deals!! I bought these shoes as a gift for my dad - I've just got them out to wrap up for Christmas and thought I'd best peel the price tag off - they were on a 'special sale offer' for £27 - however when I peeled the price tag off, the original price tag was underneath for £25! I know it's only £2, but it's a bit micey to quote something as a 'Black Friday Deal' when it was cheaper than that previous to Black Friday!
A decent sport outlet store with great value range of shoes, sportswear, equipment, accessories etc. The store is pretty good in size but I wish there was more variety of items that I can find in other Sports Directs that I can't find in the South Shields store. Pricing is decent and the store presentation is fine. Could use a more responsible staffing crew who aren't constantly chatting with one another rather than doing their jobs.

Dimly lit, dirty and not really that cheap. Definitely can find most things online cheaper. Don't do refunds either like almost every other retailer in the world does.
Staff are friendly enough when you can find them to get the correct shoe size from the back of the shop. But hate the I dear that the person has to carry the shoes to the till for you. Its ok if you still want to look around but if your going straight to pay for them. Its silly. And feels like the staff dont trust you to pay for them.
Disgusting and very poor costumer service from the girl who served me.. Item is faulty as the thread on the shoes start coming off and when I asked for a refund she told me that I ripped it in purpose and refused the refund!!!! A refund has been issued by another store with no problem at all ...so she had a very stinking attitude!! Never ever again I will spend a penny there. Horrible and disgusting.
