Since opening in 1982, Cookham Tandoori has earned a superb reputation for fine Indian cuisine in Berkshire. As the eldest restaurant in the group, Cookham Tandoori initiated the success for Spice Merchant Group and continues to draw crowds from across Berkshire and beyond.

Located within a 15th century coach house, Cookham Tandoori provides diners with an experience steeped in history. When dining with us, you can enjoy our historic low ceilings and our unique and cosy atmosphere.

Our traditional menu offers an array of delicious pot cooked and flame grilled delights and our specials board is always brimming with tempting dishes for you to sample.

Great restaurant. Food consistently good. My 4th visit.

Went her for a romantic meal on Saturday, to have the worst service ever.We complained as was there 45 mins with not even ordering our food and we had empty drinks to be then wait for it... i quote" if we dont like it there is the door" .... which we then got up and left. I mean what kind of service is this and we were willing to spend our well earnt money there. The manager is very unprofessional and obviously not bothered about his clientele. I will not be returning... we managed to get a table at Maliks across the road, which was absolutely amazing and service incredible..dont waste your time with this curry house absolute jokers.

We were a large group but meal was fabulous. Great selection and generous portions. Service was very attentive but sometimes a little brusque. Overall a fabulous meal and we would all return.

Very disappointed with take away this eve... it was very bland and chicken over cooked/ dry. I requested the restaurant added a bit of extra spice but not only did they not do that, it tasted like it had no spices or seasoning at all... even a pinch of salt would have been nice. The extra star is for the quick delivery and the fact it was piping hot, but not a good meal unfortunately.
