I had to wait an hour for a delivery 4 miles away and then it was an additional 30 minutes late. The lamb was tough, swimming in a vat of oil with no real flavour. We also ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala and instead received a Korma, which tasted like Malibu because it was so intensely sweet and heavy on the coconut. I've never had a takeaway from this place before but the reviews looked good so I thought I would give it a try. I'm unsure why we received the opposite experience to everyone else...

The food tastes fantastic. I am always impressed with the quality and ingredients. From other curry places in the area I have had far too many meals that are a monotonous oily paste, the Hurst Tiger does so much better than that. The food has colour, texture and real ingredients. I have now had food from them something like 8 times, every time i have enjoyed it and the service has been reliable and friendly. As they now deliver it is just the icing on the cake.

This is a fairly new establishment operating out of the old Bakery in Hurst, which has been operating as a sandwich shop and cafe for a number of years. The owners have a strong eye for quality as they produce a menu with an emphasis on flavour and authenticity. There's no delivery option, but much of their target market is in walking distance, and it's well worth the short drive for those that are a little further away. Favourites for us are the Tiger Chicken and Lamb Madras. The village shop just across the road also sells a reasonable selection of wine and beers to complement the meal.
