Met some ex works colleagues at the Spice Mahal. Excellent food and service. Staff are friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was very busy for a Thursday evening but service was still very good. Reasonable prices at £25 each.. Will definitely go back soon.Food: 5/5
Food was on the cold side and overcooked . Service was poor and unhelpful. They made a major confussion with the bill , 12 people and they refused to indevidualise the bill . So it was a free for all . And they still said we owed money, which the wife paid just to get out of there. We will not be back.Food: 2/5
The food was amazing with a amazing started including popadoms and a variety of side dips including an onion and corrianda refreshing salad and a creamy coconut sauce ect ect for the main course we got lamb karahi, king prawn biriani, chicken Madras and a vegetable curry that come with the bitiani. Pilau rice. As well as this we had some piswari naan and garlic naan overall the lamb was tender. The prawns lived up to the expectations and piswari sweet with coconut.
3 different dishes ordered by our group all tasted pretty much the same apparently. Glad I had chicken tikka with salad. Vegetarian options: Haven't a clue...N/A. Wheelchair accessibility: I would say very limited due to table arrangements. Would suggest ringing ahead to ask...toilets would be tricky. Dietary restrictions: I'm severely coeliac. I eat here safely.
As a group of 16 for a Christmas evening meal for volunteers, we had an excellent meal with excellent service. Very impressed with the manager and his team. Thank you for a great meal.
One of the best Indian restaurants around for sheer taste and quality. In my opinion no other restaurant in the local area matches the authenticity when it comes to the food where others places dishes were clearly frozen and reheated. Don’t be fooled by the dated decor the food is delicious and the staff always hardworking and professional!
Great local takeaway as well as eating in. Gets booked up quick so always book in advance.

The curry was good, but I ordered a dessert called Trufito, it turned out to be as big as an apple on the picture it looked like a cake size dessert and I understand that I asked for takeaway, but it was put in a plastic bag with no covering or box, and as a result part of the "cake" got stuck on the inside of the bag.
