Booked appointment online, good email, text communication with a call before the appointment day to make sure I was still attending. The optician picked up on an issue due to my diabetes and referred me to hospital for further assessment. I should say that I had a diabetic eye screening test two weeks previously which said everything was ok and normal. The tests were thorough and having not been tested in years - no surprise that I needed new glasses. Good selection starting at low reasonable prices. All the staff were absolutely first rate especially the optician who took time to do further exams and explain her findings. Highly recommend this branch for excellent customer service and experience. Looking forward to the new glasses and being able to read properly again. Thanks.
Totelly love my new glasses 1stvtime I've had re-acters. Only one problem you need to make a differnt arrangements for costomers to contact the shop they had their eyes tested as your telephone puts you through to the call centre and they give you the wrong details and info about when yo collect your blades other than that brilliant service thankyou
Booked appointment last week for today 12/09/22 checked email this morning and appointment has been booked for the 19th called the shop lady said we are fully booked al get that cancelled for you no offer of a new appointment disgusting customer service I will take my business elsewhere

The worst ever experience, attended a full eye test. The optician spent 10 minutes only and said I needed new glasses. He failed to explain the test results and made me feel uneasy. I collected the new glasses a few days later. The new glasses were worse than my original pair, went back to the same shop and was seen by a different optician who told me I did not need new glasses, and after having a retest, found I had an eye condition, 2 different eye test readings within days total failure. I was refunded my money, so made a formal complaint. Specsavers Wallsend failed in every aspect - Stay clear of Specsavers Wallsend
Long waiting times, but if you flexible, and spot becomes available they will let you know straight away. I've got sorted within couple of hours. Super fast and friendly.
The staff in every stage of my appointment were very friendly, welcoming and answered all my questions. The whole experience was a breeze and I'll for sure be coming back here for all future appointments. They also have a great range of glasses and I love the suggestions that were brought to me. I'm not great at choosing frames so it was comforting having a staff member show me around with suggestions that fit my style.
My glasses are very good, I’m very happy with them. The staff at specsavers wallsend were really helpful and pleasant. They gave me good information and let me choose myself, they didn’t push anything onto me. It was a pleasant experience all round.
