You can buy fresh fruit,meat, ie mince, chicken joints.fish, prepacked meats and cheese, great range of bread and cakes. Good choice of tinned produce and dried packet food. Toiletries, frozen food and of course good choice of alcohol they also have in shop kiosk. No customer toilets I'm afraid. They have cash machine outside the shop and also have quite big car park. They have good wheelchair access. The staff are nice and friendly and have either one till or you can usd self service. So I thought I had grabbed a couple of bargains and as they went through the till I asked the cashier had they gone through at reduced price she assured me they had. Unfortunately when I went home and checked they went through at full price. I tried phoning the shop but after a certain time they don't answer the phone so unfortunately I had to make a trip back into Wallsend. On entering the shop I asked if any management was available. Louise from the management team came to speak to me and after I explained what happened she quickly gave me refund of the over charge and a ll gift card voucher for asda, for my troubles. She was very lovely and helpful. I also managed to grab some reduced fish. I will definitely be back and have told everyone what happened and what asda did for me. Good location for picking up groceries without going into town. Food always fresh too and decent choice

I love picking up a sarnie while the staff are literally shouting banter over my head only to get back to work and find it's 2 days past its best and growing mould nKeep your apologies and sort your staff out

I have shopped at Asda Benton for many years. During covid and the restrictions I started shopping at the Wallsend branch and have never left. It's a smaller store but stocked everything I ever needed. The staff are all lovely, helpful and cheerful you can have banter which is nice these days. The staff work hard and are a credit to the manager. Please pass on this review as staff don't always get the recognition they deserve.

The store is placed handy with parking provided and good road location too. It is standard store with out the range of goods found in a superstore. However it perfectly adequate to get top up shopping for myself.nIt contains a limited fruit and veg section plus reduced sections of every superstore aisle.nOnly dislike is the minimal cash tills and their desire to move you on to self scan station removing an enjoyable part of shopping for me.
